For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

pinkspottywellies · 28/07/2007 21:56

Gas and air?! I wish! Didn't have time for anything

Tatties · 28/07/2007 21:57

Ooh gas and air was good

FrannyandZooey · 28/07/2007 21:58

Ah just hormones then

My birth photos are hideously embarrassing. I am gurning like a loon and I think it WAS the gas and air. Yours are lovely

pinkspottywellies · 28/07/2007 21:58

Are we looking at the same red blotchy skin Franny! But thanks everyone! It's quite nice to see it again

pinkspottywellies · 28/07/2007 22:01

Just looked at the other photo we took, looking over my shoulder at her bf. Quite cute but the background is a blood spattered white sheet! The clamp came off the cord and it spurted everywhere

3andnomore · 28/07/2007 22:01

lol pink...you and I are great examples for going onto the programme " how to look good naked"....go on....

Tatties · 28/07/2007 22:01

God I look rough in mine. Strangely though I wish there were more; I kept telling dp not to take pictures of me, just ds, so he didn't. I wish he had now, no matter how awful I looked.

pinkspottywellies · 28/07/2007 22:05

My dh is rubbish at thinking to take photos. We wouldn't have any of me pregnant if we hadn't been to 4 weddings last year!
I'm surprised nobody said "look at all that black hair!" I couldn't go anywhere without people pointing it out for weeks!

FrannyandZooey · 28/07/2007 22:06

You all look bloody great naked! No need for any makeovers.

3andnomore · 28/07/2007 22:21

ty franny..wish I would be able to just believe it, sigh...

pinkspottywellies · 28/07/2007 22:22

I'm going to bed now. dd had me up for a couple of hours last night - I ended up falling asleep on her bedroom floor! Hope LL is ok - will look out for you tomorrow.

TooTicky · 28/07/2007 22:36

Missed your photo PSW
Okay, I'm off to bed too.

pinkspottywellies · 28/07/2007 22:41

Sorry TooT I'll put it up again next time I see you on here. I really am going to bed now! Night night

Lullabyloo · 29/07/2007 08:58

thanks everyone for being so lovely...I couldn't sit at the desk anymore last night, had to lie down & elevate leg

dh got back at 10.30 but went straight up to the turret to work ..so went to bed to try & sleep...but really to no avail

Am off to the hospital again shortly for another injection/examination...will be so relieved to finally get some proper treatment/answers tomorrow. The pain is getting beyond what I can deal with..feel sick constantly.

Was supposed to be taking ds to the heavy horse show today..ds loved it last year, riding around on pony & traps, horse & carts, ploughing fields etc.........really want him to go as there is a possibility I will be in hosp on his birthday on Tuesday
Why is life so crap?

TooTicky · 29/07/2007 09:41

Oh LL I'm hoping for a nice fast-acting miracle for you. I was thinking about your ds's birthday Still, you could always postpone his birthday - or give him two birthdays

3andnomore · 29/07/2007 09:52

Lullaby...best of luck with the Hospital and hope that they get this under control! You poor thing!

FrannyandZooey · 29/07/2007 11:00

LL, so sorry you feel no better. I hope the hospital visit helps, especially with the pain.

Definitely postpone ds's birthday - I know it will be sad for you, but you can all have a fab time once you are feeling better

Heavy horse show sounds fantastic - not something we would ever have thought of going to but really obvious a child wouild enjoy it now you have said so. Sorry that you will miss it.

Avi I am trying to resist - I don't really want yet more chunks of my life to be swallowed whole by the interweb

the main thing is I don't actually understand it and you don't seem to get a chance to look around on it unless you sign up, so that's easy to avoid doing. I am under the impression it is a bit like myspace?

Is ds unconstipated now?

Filchymindedvixen · 29/07/2007 14:15

LL I have just caught up with this thread - So sorry to hear you're going through this. Please let us know how you get on, it sounds very worrying and scary. {{{healthy happy vibes}}}
