For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

omg at organic cake and rooibosch stall I think I am in the wrong town.

lionheart I have driftwood and shells from the beach - it is quite hard to find natural things that are ok for them to put in their mouths, really. All ideas / artefacts always gratefully received

Have eaten about 5 kiwis and a crappy apple. Awaiting fruit box delivery with tongue out.

Will hunt at the beach, Franny.

Cool pirates, fmv, and treasure chest.

Filchymindedvixen · 20/07/2007 09:24

It was odd how much male attention I got that day...it was obviously the black tooth what did it...

FirenzeandZooey · 20/07/2007 09:26

Thanks lionheart. I also have pebbles, of course. What I would really like is a piece of sea glass but it would have to be big enough for them not to choke on.

FirenzeandZooey · 20/07/2007 09:26

FMF it certainly is fetching

MamaG · 20/07/2007 12:24

Franny I need you

TooTicky · 20/07/2007 12:30

Cool pic fmv!

Am making borshch and ratatouille (in separate pans!). Turned out half my trouble yesterday was pmt. Didn't help that I'd delivered papers for 2 hours in hot sun with dd2 on my back - we got impressively sweaty - and hadn't been eating /drinking enough. Still have papers to do and my god it is pissing down. And one of the roads is long and winding - less than 40 houses but will prob take an hour.

TooT I think you are going to have to invest in some proper rain gear if possible

OP posts:
TooTicky · 20/07/2007 12:42

I will not be continuing with the round for longer than I have to. Can't do it in much under 4 hours, and at £15 it's just not worth it. I'm just too darned busy!!

FirenzeandZooey · 20/07/2007 12:44

Oh what a shame. It sounded like a very good idea

OP posts:
lionheart · 20/07/2007 12:54

Can I please just say that I am chicken sitting for a couple of weeks?

This means squelching through mud and chicken poo every night so that the clucks are safely stowed and the foxes don't eat them.

Am not happy. I can buy eggs, ffs.

There, I said it.

I will particularly look for the smooth glass, Franny.

TooTicky · 20/07/2007 12:57

But are they lovely chickens, Lionheart? Can you stroke them and gaze at them? Paint pictures of them?

FirenzeandZooey · 20/07/2007 13:00

ooh I always think having chickens would be fab

please tell me it is nasty and boring and then I can stop being jealous of Greeny

OP posts:
lionheart · 20/07/2007 13:03

Erm, they are chickens, you know.

They leave poo everywhere and wander around aimlessly in between times.

Not lovely, not pretty, not endearing.

And did I mention the chicken poo?

Touch one? Ergh.

TooTicky · 20/07/2007 13:04

Sympathies about the poo, but seriously, don't they have lovely feathers?

Filchymindedvixen · 20/07/2007 13:04

But
