For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Have a cup of tea and close your eyes for a few minutes, breathe deeply

It's a waste of energy getting panicky about things (easier said than done I know..)

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 15:23

yes I am not truly panicking, just dithering

and phoning people and emailing them, that sort of constant annoying task where you can't really stop fiddling about with it

OOOOOoooooOOOOOOOOh MrsCarrot your ball just turned up

oooooooh it is FANTASTIC

OP posts:
Tatties · 19/07/2007 15:58

Can we see your ball?

I have eaten some lovely plums today, perfectly ripe and juicily delicious. The colour is divine too. Ds is into eating skins of things atm, discarding the flesh then wanting another one

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 16:13

MrsC can I show the ball? It is a work of art, truly

OP posts:
harpsichordcuddler · 19/07/2007 16:20

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 16:25

well I don't think MrsC will mind

I've always been a sucker for peer pressure

OP posts:
BBBBasilisk · 19/07/2007 16:29

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 16:36

OP posts:
FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 16:40

ball plus a few more

OP posts:
greensleeves · 19/07/2007 16:42

The ball is beautiful, it looks like the earth in a very soft-focus friendly way

And MAN that little boy is adorable.

I still say the tree looks like the Angel Of The North's drunken Glaswegian cousin though.

I have eaten six large tangerines today. And if we had any more, I would eat those too

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 16:44

Ah

greensleeves

been name changing today have we?

OP posts:
greensleeves · 19/07/2007 16:46

shut it you

I warned you that guzzling that dodgy witches' brew would end in tears....did you listen? Did you buggery

Seriously though, sorry you are ill and I bet you are Doing Too Much again.

Lol about my capital "G", I only did it because I know it makes you squint, like Captain Darling

Tatties · 19/07/2007 16:47

Oh the ball is wonderful! Mrsc you'll have to tell us how you make them again.

And I LOVE that stag beetle picture Franny, your boy is beautiful.

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 16:52

The ball is so lovely, I can't really do it justice in a picture but you get the idea

the texture is fab too

I MUST AND SHALL HAVE MORE OF THEM [megalomaniac]

OP posts:
FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 17:00

added one more of ds

not that he can compete with The Ball

OP posts:
Tatties · 19/07/2007 17:03

Oh gorgeous! Ds says "cute"

Filchymindedvixen · 19/07/2007 17:54

I need some balls like that. I neeeeeed them! Please tell us how to make them.

F&Z your ds is obscenely, outrageously, ridiculously cute.

(Now I know how to cut and paste pictures I am vaguely tempted to post pirate pictures for you. And my famous stripey buns. But what if someone recognised me from RL? fret fret..)

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 18:05

Oh FMF pls post pictures

you can just take them down again quickly

OP posts:
lionheart · 19/07/2007 18:20

Stripey buns?

Show and tell please.

TooTicky · 19/07/2007 18:26

Feeling like shitey shite. Headache. Knackered. Not eating enough. Fretting about things. Definitely not eating enough f&v. Will go before I get expelled.

FirenzeandZooey · 19/07/2007 18:28

Oh nononono

no expulsions here

just cosseting, woollen balls, and stripy buns

OP posts:
Filchymindedvixen · 19/07/2007 18:33

may have to wait for dh's return for photos. Cannot do it after all.

The stripey buns were an accident. I have a thing about things 'matching'. Tis my one and only anal trait.
Well after I made these particular buns everyone laughed at me - because they matched my tea set. I didn't do it on purpose... but I've never lived it down
