For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Very tiring work, playing card games, and not letting 4 year olds join in

ahundredtimeturners · 15/07/2007 23:05

Doesn't sound very promising does it? Perhaps it wasn't her? I hope not. You don't seem to have got on very well with the people in the dairy tent franny.

FirenzeandZooey · 15/07/2007 23:06

there wasn't a lentil tent

lionheart · 15/07/2007 23:07

Dairy = Cheese. It must have been a good place to be, surely?

ahundredtimeturners · 15/07/2007 23:07

lol. Oh dear, I do hope my friend wasn't the sour cow doing the card games.

lionheart · 15/07/2007 23:08

And is there a new thread tomorrow?

BBBBasilisk · 15/07/2007 23:10

Hi all

why are you talking about a smokehouse? IS this a real thing or another psychedlic tangent we have veered into?

FZ am in Oxford so very near where you were. Was DD's birthday today so had to do ballet party fun - otherwise would have been at the food thing too.

Food not so good today - no proper meals but did give chldren a nice birthday tea which I ate loads of.

Included 8 strawberries (dipped in chocolate) and some carrots.

FirenzeandZooey · 15/07/2007 23:10

LOL I am being rude

all the dairy people were lovely esp the smoothie makers

the card lady was fine, ds was just too little really, and she did try to involve him a bit, but he doesn't know any letters of the alphabet which didn't help

oh help new thread

give me titles on here pls, I must go to bed

TheChamberofCarrots · 15/07/2007 23:10

yes new thread, I have been singing Jerusalem in anticipation of my favourite, DH asked why and I couldn't really explain, he already thinks I am weird after he asked why I was laughing this morning and I said ssshh, I am hunting buffalo

ahundredtimeturners · 15/07/2007 23:15

I can't remember the one I liked. Wasn't it something about kale and bells or something? Hemingway.

ahundredtimeturners · 15/07/2007 23:24

But I'm away next week, so don't use it then. Keep it for later can you? Do Mrs C's jerusalem one instead?

TheChamberofCarrots · 15/07/2007 23:24

Ask not for whom the kale curls - it curls for thee?

I would like - And did those beet in ancient time..

I am enjoying beetroots at the moment. I wonder what smoked beetroot would be like. Nasty probably.

TheChamberofCarrots · 15/07/2007 23:26

Are you going on holiday 100, somewhere exciting?

I am looking forward to my real life Tipi, in two weeks

ahundredtimeturners · 15/07/2007 23:35

Is that Southwold trip MrsC. I might go and spy on Boco, freak her out a little. I'll be the strange woman in black peering through the hedges and wearing inappropriate shoes for the country - tell her when she's back from her festival will you?

TheChamberofCarrots · 15/07/2007 23:39

Yes, I will warn her of a strange buttoned up high heeled lady who may be seen poking around in the shrubs, the scent of woodchips on the breeze...

FirenzeandZooey · 16/07/2007 08:28

Oi. Over 'ere
