For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

MrsCarrot · 09/07/2007 10:54

There is something faintly nauseating about this week's title now it's up and away Was there a seventies sitcom called butterflies, that hhad cheesecloth in it? Makes me think of that rather than Rebel Mc..

Have had nectarine, banana, cherries and a blueberry/strawberry smoothie and three LEMON cookies. Lunch will be yesterdays leftover quinoi and puy lentil salads.

My rye bread that I bought on Saturday is mouldy , £2.50 wasted there then. I thought about cutting it off but the whole witchy mouldy rye thing makes me paranoid.

MollyCoddle · 09/07/2007 11:43

Never been in here before, but lol at the title!

Tatties · 09/07/2007 11:50

LOL at [wonk], nice to see you Nappies

MrsC mould makes me paranoid too (but it doesn't take much tbh)

I want someone to make me a quinoa salad

Now now children, settle yourselves, MissZooey was just joking when she said her name was not really Franny

LOL I am pretty sure Greeny was thinking of Muhammed Ali. I would bet my quinoa that she is not a huge Rebel MC fan. Truly.

God I hate mould. It makes me very twitchy. God we are all ODD in here, aren't we? We could keep a team of therapists in business for years.

Am eating tinned baked beans with kidney beans and chickpeas added. So good when you are hungry.

Well back from a weekend of weddingy food - all weekend -and then two packets of wotsits, stuffed in standing outside a newsagents round the corner from the church, licking orange fingers. Dont know why, just had THREE days of dh's relations and began to pale and panic and yawn. So went for the Wotsits.

Today I've eaten some basil in an omlette, an orange and half a banana (ds2 ate the other half at breakfast), 3 glasses or Grove orange juice (and only 2 cups of coffee).

TheMaskedJane · 09/07/2007 12:59

Hello to everybody

Nectarine for breakfast, now eating homemade pitta with homemade falafel, tahini, cucumber, lettuce, red pepper, tomato.

lionheart · 09/07/2007 14:07

Hello

Great title. I remember those little cheesecloth t-shirts that you could tie up round your mid-riff MrsC.

Strange objects of desire for eight year olds.

Have had lots of fruit. Vegetables come later.

Tatties · 09/07/2007 14:08

Really TT? [excited]

I am of your falafel; I really like it, but it never seems to agree with me for some reason

Lullabyloo · 09/07/2007 14:10

mmmmmmmmmmmm Toot that sounds good
How did the falafel turn out? Which recipe did you use?

Let me know how much I owe you btw...lullyboo at hotmail dot co dot uk
