desperate fag quitter! Anyone similar, fancy mutual support group?!

To my shame it's about my 167th attempt to quit fags... anyone out there trying the same who would like to start a support thingie here where we can rant and vent our frustrations and praise each other? I'm starting tomorrow...

if you cannot find one, have you tried going to 'the bear factory'? i know it's not anything like a comforter but it might refocus him since you can choose the animal, clothes, voice etc.? we got one for ds1 the other day and ahve called it his 'baby rabbit' despite the fact taht it's 10 times bigger than mr rabbit. they've got a few dogs there so it might be worth a try if all else fails...

hi cc and mm, I am selling this buggy I thought it might have hit around £200 today and go for closer to £250, there are 27 watchers so I know folk will bid near the end but if it goes for less than £200 I will make a loss on what I payed for it!!!

May try bear factory mm if can't get this cat!

nice to have you with us midden! Sorry not been around much girls, boys were away last night so me and dh had some time together

Like you midden I find not smoking v v v v hard still. I've lasped a few times and am back on track now but today the cravings are particularly bad for some reason. The only thing that's stopping me is coming on here, and thinking about some lovely friends who are coming over for dinner later, and how crap I'd feel sneaking out the back for a fag, and coming back in, ponging.

also the 10k race is 2 weeks today!! So have to put in some serious training this week (running, and chatting on here, is saving my bacon!!)

Fg, I was going to say this before but didnt but I think i will now. And this may apply to you to Midden.
There really is no joy in a fag, and well even if there is, the failure you feel, the disapointment , well its just not worth it.
What joy/pleasure/taste whatever do you think a fag will give you?
There is no point hankering after something that is only pleasurable when you cant have it.
I know I sound like Allen and do forgive me, but youdd think you were missing something!!!
Dont get me wrong, this is...like a living hell for me, but I am aware that I do not want a fag...not really...Its probably more to do with id like to stop thinking about it altogether..you know get over it.
SOOOOOOOO, big ramble, if you have an A.C book read the bit about the illusion of smoking...please, it will make this whole process a lot easier.

there are always going to be those god-awful days when you just think 'don't i deserve one, i've been so good so far?' and 'i just want a bloody fag, what's the big deal?' i'm ALWAYS having them but cc always pops into my head about the illusion of it all and it is so true. i think back to all my false starts and how i lapsed into a 1 fag=1 packet and you only want the 1 out of the 10 so what is the point?!!! well done for not giving in fg, think of your race, us, the kids and even dh whom you need to set a good example to!! i CANNOT believe you're running in 2 wks! your lungs must feel so clean

Yes and FG when you are running and you can keep going and you can taste the fresh air you are going to KNOW this is worth it. So chin up and deep breaths..or a big sigh

We had a lovely time thanks mm, loads and loads of chat actually - got quite piddled too... and he did help (a bit) with housework this weekend. He announced v proudly I HAVE TIDIED THE BEDROOM, as if expecting applause or a Champion Cleaning Man medal!

cc - re school run - I find it a bit repetitive but my boys aren't really into clubs & activities, they prefer to go out on bikes or come home & chill out, def not joiner-inners! So there's not too much sclepping about. We are gonna try Beavers (mini cubs) this week but I don't hold out much hope! They do play footie in a team sat and sun mornings and belong to an archelogy club & hang out with a load of boffy kids there, yacking on about the romans etc.

erin much more 'out there', loves gymnastics club. people seem to do such much after school stuff here - some kids have something every night of the week. I couldn't stand it...

Thank Goodness on the toy Midden! Hope your little one likes it! The buggys only 20 quid off of 200 now, so you should be ok. If youve had a couple of years out of it at 200 quid and you get back 180, thats excellent value for money!

hi cc, i haven't received my order yet from the company who supply me w/oils, am expecting some time next week. it won't be till the weekend at earliest that i get my self sorted out with the auctions tho. anyway, when i said i'd make up more oils for you and fg, i meant that i'm happy to supply you two with whatever oil keeps you going, not for you to pay! if it's anyone else who needs it, then sure, send them to ebay and i'd be v. grateful indeed :) we could do the feed back thing and pretend you've paid me by putting personal cheque instead if you don't mind? thanks for all your help on this btw.
