desperate fag quitter! Anyone similar, fancy mutual support group?!

To my shame it's about my 167th attempt to quit fags... anyone out there trying the same who would like to start a support thingie here where we can rant and vent our frustrations and praise each other? I'm starting tomorrow...

i promise to have one next week if you do. been promising myself for ages (since ds2 was born!) so it's due time.

AC didn't work when i put the cd in at the same time as using mnet!!!! it told me that i had to close down all applications first. is this right?

maybe you should become a non-smoking press gang type person and coerce smokers into giving up via AC!! you could sell your service on ebay ;)

Just read your earlier post, probably something to do with having your whole attention on A.C I bet! What dvd you going to watch? We watched Monster, that was good, not too gory either.

I havent suggested it yet, just a min ago he was leaning beside me with a fag in his mouth (unlit)and it smelt revolting, like strong chemicals and cats wee.
I would never in a million years go for a facial or a massage MM...never, Ive always wanted my eyebrows neatend up, but im worried they would ask to do my hairy chin as well but seriously.
Will have to just get dp to massage me...

Thanks for the welcome I do feel a little bit treacherous as I am still smoking at mo . I am indeed a victim of CC's re: Allen Carr, although I don't think I could do it just by reading the book (have read it cover to cover and it makes perfect sense though) hence the zyban.

MM, zyban is the drug and I'm not entirely certain how it works, except it takes away the feeling of wanting a smelly stinking fag. I have taken it before a few years ago, but stopped taking it when I got a rash and promptly went back on the fags. Determined to succeed this time though, rash or no rash

am in good spirits today as have had nice morning with dd and friends, 2 hours work to do now, then babysitter coiming later so me and dh can go out & get drunk on a hill, weather permitting.

Weird thing last night - i THINK a problem has been resolved (the dh smoking one). Cooked nice late dinner for us, had wine, he popped out every now and again for a fag - and I didn't miss them one bit or even want one. It was v relaxing & unstressed. I just kind of thought I don't NEED to go out & have a fag with him.

Not getting complacent but it was a very nice feeling.

Hope you girls are having good day - mm, was thinking I'll have quite a few oils from you nearer to xmas as I love the idea of them matching the person - would you mind labelling them with people's names like you did for us? It seems very individual & personal. Can let u know nearer the time.

cc was also thinking about your 'I am nicotine free and it feels a bit... nothingy' (at least that's how I assume you felt...) and think that there are no revelations really - just a nice calm & pleasant feeling of being in control & not a slave to the weed. It might feel a bit anti-climaxy but imagine how peed off you'd feel if you WERE still smoking.

I do know what you mean tho. Esp as our nearest and dearest (at least mine) make no fuss about it, and hardly gush well dones!

Does DH usually go outside for a fag or is that what happened last night and it made it easier? Or were you just sitting contemplating how good it was you didnt feel the need to follow him?
I couldnt sit across from Dp having a drink smoking. No Way. in or out. No smoking house and seating areas for me!
Oh yeah mm, if you get an auction set up, for one bottle of oil, buy it now at whatever price, I will buy it, and then leave you super feedback, even if I dont get the oil till nearer xmas, and then come Xmas time I will be a returning customer, with more feedback for you, but it will get you on your way you know, so when people are looking at your feedback they can see you worth buying from.

I asked dh to smoke outside and he's willing to do that, which is making it easier (as our back yard - the smoking quarters - is vile)

The suns came out here for you fg, hope you have a nice climb!. Its good of dh to go outside, your house will smell better and he will no longer associate smoking with whatever seat/chair/table which in the long run will do him good.

well done cc, it's nice when you get a day to reflect upon not actually wanting a fag. unfortunately i was knackered today since i was up till 1.30am yesterday and spent the whole day out with dh and the kids...so needed a fag even more! i find that i need one whenever he's off - he must stress me out!

need one now, so came up here with my lozenge instead.

dh told his mum that time 'what are you doing, we're married!' and laughed about it before promptly making a bed up for the two of us. i don't think any nooky went on as i felt kind of guilty after what he said to her!! she probably thought she'd lost him forever :(

i was looking at a number of diff sellers just to see the market and i think only 1 sold for about 1.70. i think it's because people can't sniff it first?

anchovies are yummy fg, have you tried the pickled ones in vinegar from the deli section at Sainsbury's? Do you have one up there?!!!
