I have been working myself up slowly to a much needed detox for too long now.

I really am abusing my body by

Drinking at least half a bottle of wine 5 nights a week

Smoking too much and mostly in secret !

Eating crap when the kids are in bed

Not making time for exercise and not swimming which i love because have usually downed a glass of wine with dinner !

Does anybody else want to join me for a full 7 day fag free wine free junk food free lots of water horrible horrible week-at the end of which we will shine from the inside out and feel somewhat marvellous !

Was under the influence Kazzia gov

It would seem that last night one of your flock had slipped of the wagon before I got here I'm not one to judge but I think drink and light drugs were involved

kazzia · 19/05/2007 13:19

Hi Weebleswobble. As you may have noticed -was under the influence too despite feeble protestations to the contrary. But we were doing quite well up till then [pathetic lame excuse emoticon]

MrMariella · 19/05/2007 18:43

Caryl and Pizza hut....not making things easy are you?????

No matter. It was our first go. We CAN do better next week, being better informed....

Plan habits, and stick to them......and where is fake???

talcyescapesfromwitchmountain · 19/05/2007 21:48

Yes....where is fake?

MrMariella · 20/05/2007 11:49

talcy, noddy, fake, kazzia, hamma, moi,hellobello....anyone else left standing???????

hellobello · 20/05/2007 12:19

Hello all! I made some super-healthy soup last night - we all needed it. I've got some strange red oil to cook with and I can't decide whether it's ok or absolutely disgusting. It said 'healthy' on the botttle. What a sucker I am.

Dh is being treated for DVT at the moment. That's a bit scary, and a reason to lay off the wine I guess. Last night though, we just HAD to try the wine he brought back from France, so...

I guess we get through about 2 bottles of wine a week each, which may be a bit too much in terms of units, but not much in the broader scheme of things. It's an awful lot less than I used to drink.

noddyholder · 20/05/2007 13:20

I have bought 7 bottles of smoothies (half price this week)and have made a huge pot of veg soup plus 10 bottles of water I'm ready!

MrMariellawaitsforPan · 20/05/2007 14:48

Yay!

talcyescapesfromwitchmountain · 20/05/2007 17:26

I'm just scoffing the last of dd's birthday tea.....

then i'm ready

talcyescapesfromwitchmountain · 20/05/2007 17:31

Nice name mrm!

MrMariellawaitsforPan · 20/05/2007 17:35

thank you..it's a very broad and not-so-gentle nudge to Tech. To take a fiver off me, give it to MFM fund, and give me Pan...

it's a bit like Gordon waiting to be PM! Well, a bit like that.

MrMariellawaitsforPan · 20/05/2007 18:29

Am preparing for next weeks detox with a trip to see Spiderman 3. Not sure how this is relevant, but I'll work on it!. laters.

hellobello · 20/05/2007 18:58

Lentils again!! They're cheap and we have no money. In fact, we are so poor that we cannot afford to live in our house. It's serious. So... we'll be eating a lot more sodding lentils then. How really dull. My babies will become lentils.

talcyescapesfromwitchmountain · 20/05/2007 19:20

Ive never eaten lentils hellobello.

Tempted to buy some

although wouldn't have a clue what to do with them.

I can always send you some wagonwheels or c&o crisps if you get really desperate

Im determined to succeed this week

Mrm.....how was the film?

kazzia · 20/05/2007 22:15

I'm with you. I love lentils and am happy to propose a lentil dish a day to help you allong HB.

Have had a low key/ fairly toxic (takeaway curry/ glasses o' wine/ custard tart) w/e but after my good performance for first 4 days last week am now determined to succeed.

As a kick off for lentils - what about green lentils with olive oil/ lemon juice & garlic with grilled goats cheese slices. Mmmm!!!

MrMariellawaitsforPan · 21/05/2007 01:16

morning all!

Lentils - not knowingly eaten one since circa 1987...but know it is a super-food, inexpensive and adaptable.......just something about them..

talcy - film was rubbish! It was obviously scripted by a committee, the members of which didn't talk to each otehr much....all the millions obviously went on CGG rather than all of the other things that make a good film...like the script. Pacing was rubbish...didn't really care who won in the end.....

talcyescapesfromwitchmountain · 21/05/2007 01:22

Will probably give that one a miss then mrmwfp.

watching very odd anthony hopkins film.....a little creepy

Is it officialy detox time now?
or in the morning?
Am having tea and biccies....have sinus infection so need comfort food

Tell me i'll be better in the morn

Finding it hard to be excited over lentils

MrMariellawaitsforPan · 21/05/2007 07:07

oh, talcy, you WILL be better this morning, because you will be nearer the time when you will be fully recovered.

Ok. Only good things go into our bodies this week! Those radicals may be 'free', but they aren't the best things in life!! Plan meals, and healthy 'snacks', keep walking past the window of crisps and chocolate, and feel all smug about being all shiney!!

Porridge ( with dried fruit) and a grapefruit for brekkie - gives 3 portions before leaving the front door!!

Have lovely days.

MrMariellawaitsforPan · 21/05/2007 07:42

Crumbs! That was a lot to eat!

talcyescapesfromwitchmountain · 21/05/2007 07:48

Thankyou mrmwfp
for your support.

I'm gonna do this
