I have had them about 10 years

I have tried a chiropodist, just cost £100, hurt a lot and didnt work.

Are there any herbal/non medical answers?

Thanks

I have a wart on my thumb (about a year old now) but not budging. I tried banana after reading this thread - it felt weird, kind of 'pulsing' but def something happening. Then I wandered into a chemist and by chance saw Wartner on the shelf and bought it. It BLOODY HURT !!! Should have stuck with the banana.

I have also heard that fresh fig sap works. Same thing as with banana, you have to be persistent for quite a while....only thing is that it can be hard to get fresh figs.

SpeckledHen · 24/03/2007 21:31

Have been following this with interest. Have had 3 on my feet for at least last 5 years and have not been ablr to yse traditional stuff due to ttc, pg and bf 3 times. Anyway, just started bababing. Qucily all went soft and was able to scrape lots out. I am persevering but I really think they have gone. I just have holes where they were. Great stuff. Will kepp you psoted.

wpcanniecartwright · 24/03/2007 21:40

my ds wqnted to get rid of his, loads, quick before pe that they do barefoot!

trillium · 24/03/2007 21:48

Yay.

Glad I've found this thread. Dd has had a verruca for ages. We went down the Bazuka route but it spreads out beyond the verruca itself and burns her foot.

Want to try the banana thing but won't it be uncomfortable? Banana skin is not exactly waferthin.

SlightlyMadSpringBunny · 24/03/2007 23:05

The pressure of the foot quickly compresses it to waferthin slither. I have also heard that the banana can be quite cushioning. Also it is recommended that you use ripe or even blackened skin which tends to be thinner than the less ripe skin. Full method is further down the thread (I get told off if I keep posting it )

wellll.......the one on my left foot appears to have got a lot 'shallower' not exactly smaller, but shallow...
the ones on my right foot are drier...

but I do it religiously for a week then run out of bananas and miss a day or two, wonder if this is the problem?

Bananas are expensive!!!!

MINE ARE NOW PINK AND PEELING.........?

SlightlyMadSpringBunny · 02/04/2007 19:01

..they're on the way out.....just wait until the whole thing has peeled off - shouldn't be long now. Then you can really celebrate - and start spreading the word with me

JennySpringster · 02/04/2007 19:03

Thought you were talking about your nipples then Voodoo. Got a bit confused.

SlightlyMadSpringBunny · 02/04/2007 19:10

JennySpringster · 02/04/2007 21:08

VoodooSpringChicken · 04/04/2007 13:17

Ill have you know banana works wonders on nipples too......

VoodooSpringChicken · 05/04/2007 10:00

......they are still there..........

yomellamoHelly · 05/04/2007 10:07

Had a littlle forrest of verrecas on one of my feet which I'd had 20 years when I decided to get rid. Bazookad it at every opportunity (not really advised IIRC) every 3-4 hours. After a couple of days it started really aching but they were gone in a couple of weeks and was left with a big hole. Would have loved to have found them in my sock and oooo over them, but wasn't the case.

KatyR · 06/04/2007 22:21

Oooh I am a secret verruca hider and just read the whole thread, phew! Agree Wartner is crap and Bazuka doesn't seem to do much (maybe because I am a bit rubbish about soaking foot, applying to damp verruca etc etc palaver!)
Luckily I ate a banana earlier and can't wait to get started... How easily amused I am

VoodooSpringChicken · 10/04/2007 21:14

well.....

mine are the same size still, but all of the skin for miles around them is now peeling off

and they hurt more now...

VoodooSpringChicken · 10/04/2007 21:15

tbh though went away for easter so didnt banana myself for 4 days...

is the slacking slowing the progress?

RubberDuck · 10/04/2007 21:53

ds1's foot is doing the same - going very peely and the verrucca is quite raised from the rest of foot.

Will the damn thing ever go?!

SlightlyMadSlug · 10/04/2007 22:57

IT WILL GO KEEP IT UP

Dannie · 10/04/2007 23:07

There's a Mr Khan attached to the London Homeopathic Hospital who does a thing with calendula paste. He shifted a huge and hideous verruca I'd had for about 15 yrs.

VoodooSpringChicken · 11/04/2007 20:04

'a thing with calendula paste

lol at the mad slug...
