It's back For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and more detailed information here

aw franny big sympathy

dd is slowly dropping her feeds atm and I do actually, bizarely, feel sad about it. (though also less sore)

I dunno what to say. Start another thread if you want and we will all stand guard like rottweilers and attack anyone who mocks you.

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2007 19:37

Ok this is the first night he has not even asked

He has been talking for a while about it. Last night he had some as usual then said "Oh wait, I am too big, remember?"

I cuddled him to sleep tonight, which was delicious. There is nothing nicer in the world than a small boy in pyjamas

Ok, this is it: what if I can't have another baby, and I never breastfeed ever again? And dp says we are getting too old to be having more babies :-(

Oh arse

yes should really start another thread but just too chicken

thanks all, you are marvellous

Poor you Franny, I don't want to get too personal about this, but, and don't answer if you don't want to. Is Ds1 to be your only child? I guess a lot of my sadness about the dts finishing is that, as well as that being the end of my special time with them, I will never do it again
I know that will sound strange to some people, but it has been a big part of my life, and once you stop you stop. There is no going back

Mycupoverrunswithlove · 14/02/2007 19:40

Xposted but you are my age, definitely not too old

Tatties · 14/02/2007 19:54

Oh Franny

I was going to mention babies earlier but didn't... There are just so many emotions involved in this process. Obviously I haven't gone through it yet but am starting to realise that it will happen, and am thinking about how I am going to feel.
Just fire away Franny, we will listen to you here

Just away to sort out my little pyjama boy for bed but I'll be back later

this is what I do, cod, you know me

I flip my lid for a few days and then I am ok about it

meanwhile you just have to lump it and I have no sympathy - jesus think of poor dp he has to live with this day in day out

Overrun I know I am not too old, dp has a bee in his bonnet about it, I will have to get to the bottom of that I guess

oh sod it why do they have to GROW UP it is so complicated???

Oh god, change sucks. I totally understand.

CheesyFeet · 14/02/2007 20:40

F&Z, I clicked on the thread to join in eating a ridiculous amount of fruit & veg, but before I take a bite out of my first Official Apple I would like to offer sympathy

I'm afraid I don't know how old your ds is, but obviously he's not all that little any more, and I admire you for continuing for as long as you have.

My dd weaned at 7 months and it was so sad. Would have loved to have carried on for much, much longer.

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2007 20:43

Oh god, yes

FRUIT

VEG

eat fruit and veg everyone, it's a good thing to do

and do we all agree on Filly's gym moratorium for February??? Sounds good to me...

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2007 20:44

and Cheesy he is ENORMOUS

I have to feed him in a darkened room because it is just too freaking weird even for me otherwise

OP posts:
CheesyFeet · 14/02/2007 20:49

go on then, how old???

Mycupoverrunswithlove · 14/02/2007 20:49

Lol, well before we get onto fruit and veg, can I just say spare a thought for me. With two big boistorous boys hanging off my nipples throwing punches at each other Needless to say I haven't fed them in public for quite some time. They always give it away though, don't they, by tugging on your top, cupping your boob out of your bra (before I could blink, dt2 is going to be a menance to the ladies in the future), saying MILK at the top of their voices There will be some things that I wont miss when it comes to an end

Beauregard · 14/02/2007 20:53

Franny's back!
yay!

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2007 20:53

He is 4 in April

Overrun that is quite a picture. I remember some classic moments of ds outing me - shouting "MILK" in public and then when I said "Ah, hmm, shall we get you a cup of milk then?", screeching "No, MILK FROM YOUR BREASTS" :O [BLUSH]

Cheesy I am sorry your dd weaned before you were ready. I bet 7 months of breastfeeding is pretty good to look back on though?

FrannyandZooey · 14/02/2007 20:54

Morning everyone, and again apologies for the non fruit and veg related hijack

Have had apple, pear, plum, grapes, raisins, soya milk for breakfast. NQC is coming over for lunch today so she can supervise my intake and report back.

Is anybody exercising, at all?
