hello everyone
been to doctors this morning, he had his last inj for that batch, is it about 2.5 they have their next lot?
also saw the hv and he weighed 13lb10oz, so hes put nearly a pound on in 3 weeks, thats good going for him!!

just been to tescos and ended up buying some choc truffels they had in their xmas sale, i shouldn't of gone down that isle(? spelling?anyway, i only wanted bread and tuna and just ended up wandering around buying stuff i dont really need.

my ds1 is going to play round a friends after school today so its just me and ds2 till 6pm until i pick him up.
im a bit of a meany not letting him play round some peoples if i dont know them very well i wont let him go! whereas some parents are quite happy to let them go round others more.

Macdog · 10/01/2007 15:49

I'm completely confused with the vaccines. Seems that every time we get one, they invent another. I think my dd gets another pneumo, then her MMR. I'm so totally thick when it comed to it .
I'm still feeling a bit off. Plonked wee one in her playpen after lunch and she graciously permitted me to have a nap. Helped a bit.
I'm taking dd to get weighed tomorrow, not that we are in the slightest doubt over whether she's gaining!

Jennster · 10/01/2007 21:17

Evening folks. Jennster present just Voodoo needs to find this thread now.

Was good and didn't go for the stodge, but am munching on Lindor tonight. I swear I save money by paying Tesco to deliver to me Worley. I have to plan meals in advance, and don't get the chance to impulse buy.

Macdog I am waiting for the call for the meningitis Hib doo daa which is meant to be 12 months (dd 1 next week) and MMR meant to be 13 months.....Was going to give up breastfeeding once dd had had MMR and not so keen to try and get her to bed without a bf so not going to push for an appointment....just yet.

Jennster · 10/01/2007 21:18

Hi Worley. Took ages to type that coz watching BigBrother.

Jennster · 10/01/2007 21:20

Anybody hate that activia advert where the scouser says it's just like a desert? It fuc*ing well is a desert you stupid mare!

Sorry for that outburst but ffs!

worleygig · 10/01/2007 21:30

hello jenn
im sort of listening to big brother, i have it down low so i can hear ds2. i have been meaing for months to get some new baby monitors but keep putting it off, as i know that once i buy them then i will find the one speaker that i am missing from the other ones i had for ds1. im sure hes been playing walkie talkies with them or smething as it has just vanished!!

worleygig · 10/01/2007 21:32

i was debating wether to watch big brother or angel on sci-fi channel on sky. but i though i will end up getting in to that and then ds2 will wake up.

Jennster · 10/01/2007 22:00

We don't use baby monitors. Actually we do use a baby monitor, when we put dd to bed and (used to) go for a drink next door at the neighbours. Obviously I'm not drinking at the moment, but we used to. Once though we saw all the lights going off and we assumed she was just moving about a bit, until we figured there couldn't be a movement senser on the monitor, and we were just sitting there with the volume turned down. Ooops.

Macdog · 11/01/2007 11:04

Was missing in action last night from MN cos there was a classic episode of Taggart on.
A proper one! Dougray Scott played the baddie.
dd in very grumpy mood this morning. I suspect more teeth are on the way .
We never had a baby monitor either. we have tiny house so dd just had to squeak and I heard her !
We had really wild storms last night again. Debris all over the garden. Luckily the dog kennel seems to be surviving. Don't think the Munchkins would survive our dog landing in the merry Land of Oz!!!!!
Must go and brave the weather as dog needs walking and I need shopping.
I may be some time.........

it really windy here today too. just drove home and there are wheelie bins all over the road. half my rubbish has blown away i cant even see it up the road to retrieve it.
been to the gym this morning, i havnt been for nearly 5 weeks and it nesarly killed me. i have put half a stone on over xmas so back to the diet again. just 4 stone to go!!

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 14:42

New thread eh!
Great stuff. About time we got rid of the 'bitten Nipps' thing, I am so over that!

mum and dad have gone to stay with friends in Scotland again, in Tyndrum, so its just me and dd till dh gets home. It is too wild and windy to go out so I just watched Cold mountain...that film made me cry my eyes out! esp. when the cruel soldiers put the poorly baby on the floor!!!

dd gets really grumpy when she is hungry, but she still has no teeth.

I took her to mums&toddlers for the first time, it was a big church hall with about 30 mums/grandparents and their kids, a bit overwhelming (for me, anyway) she loved it. I try and talk to other mums but I can hardly think of anything to say...I am so out of practice!
It is scarey not knowing anyone but I met some nice ladies to talk to next time,

It is scarey stopping crazy toddlers harming dd, too! One was trying to force feed her sultanas,.fgs!

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 14:43

The wind is crazy.

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 14:44

I wish dd would have a nap she barely sleepa at all in the day.

Mum and dad rang from Gretna, 2 lorries had been blown over on the motorway, horrendous driving conditions.

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 14:45

Maccy-D I liked your wizard of Oz reference!

'I wanna go home!' [sulky mouth emoticon]

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 14:46

Worley I am jealous you went to the gym! You are much more energetic than me.

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 14:47

Jenn...we never used baby monitors either, but I wish we could slide over to the neighbours for a drink...

Macdog · 11/01/2007 14:51

Hi Honey's, I'm home !!
Bloody Nora, it's wild. Struggled dd up to clinic in her sling only to find they've changed the drop in clinic day/time to Wed mornings !! Luckily the nice HV popped her head out and offered to weigh dd. 21lbs 11oz no gain, but no loss either. Eats well, but can't sit still for a second so not surprised.
She is zonked in her cot. At least I'm assuming that the heap of sleeping bag contains my daughter. Maybe she's gone down the pub.......

Jennster · 11/01/2007 21:05

Evening folks. We lost one of our recycling bins this morning. No idea where it blew to. Found the lid but that was it.

How old is your little one Macdog? No idea how much dd weighs but she is one on Wednesday and pretty sure she doesn't weigh 21lbs. Guess I will find out when she has her next load of vaccinations.

With your little one not napping during the day, does she sleep well at night?

Oh dear am watching bigbrother again.

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 21:25

she sleeps through, now, more or less, 7pm - 6am ish.
sometimes she wants a small feed when we go to bed, about 11pm,
after the 6am feed I put her back to bed and she sleeps till 9am, I love that bit!

Jennster · 11/01/2007 21:30

Ohh my god that sounds good. We get DD to bed between 7 and 8, but only because we eat lunch and dinner much later. We dream feed her at 11ish and then she usually sleeps through to 7ish.

Jennster · 11/01/2007 21:31

Oh and she will nap upto 3 hours during the day too.

VoodooBiltong · 11/01/2007 21:55

3 hours free time in the day! heavenly.

dd soes need naps in the day but she fights them.
She is woken from drifting off by the slightest noise, and wont even stay still for long.
The only times she does sleep are in the carseat or them pram...perfect excuses to stay out shopping all day!
How are you feeling?

I met 2 mums who were pregnant at mums&toddlers, one 20wks, one 24wks.
