I feel really miserable and I want a cigarette. Social services are asking far too much of us, having blown the whole thing waay out of proportion and I am sick of it. I jsut want to get on with my life and they aren't letting us.

kelly, but then afterwards you'd just feel worse that you'd smoked as well as having lots of shit going on ...

lou, I have days when I suddenly inexplicably completely crave a smoke, it feels very intense and can go on and off for hours. Then I can go a week and not even think about it. I'm hoping that at some point the latter will become the norm.

I hope you havent had a fag Kelly. Ive saw a thread of your and it was too awful to read So I cant even imagine what it is to be livng your life right now.
You are doing a brave thing stopping now, and you will know that, you are the bravest strongest thing, and if you can get through all this shit without a fag you can do anydamn thing you like.
Get in the frame of mind that this stopping smoking lark id the ONE THING you can grab by the horns and CONTROL.

imaginary friend, no worries, I thought what you said was really good advice and I've kept that in mind. Day 6 and counting...
The cravings still seem really bad. The first 4 days were fine but since yest they just haven't gone. Thanks charliecat, will try to hold that thought too.

kelly, I had strong cravings for thef irst few days, then it got b etter and then I had a dreadful 3 days at the end of the first week. I don't know how I didn't crack at the time, it was awful. Then it went and it's never been so bad since. btw, I did come across your thread, you are going through some tough stuff aren't you? I hope you keep it together.

I feel a bit better than I did earlier today. Tomo my parents are visiting (they live away and didn't even know I started again) so def no fags tomo, and sat we are going to be very busy helping people move house, so that will keep my mind clear. I find it easier when I'm around people, it's when I'm on my own I really want one.

Hi all again!

Just fallen upstairs after entertaining a couple of buddies - curry and big fat spliffs for them, 3 lagers and a smug smile for me.........

IF - you are sooo good! I keep thinking back to the hot summer when you were so unsure..now look at you! Again, am nearly 3 weeks in, been in EVERY tempting situation (well apart from one...) and it is still not a blink for me.....not coughing, not craving - worst is smelling the stuff from 100 yds, and realising how potent it is in every way.
