OK chaps? I won't post the links again this time if you don't mind.

I will start the thread by saying that Paps is not ethereal and wispy but very groomed and chic. Bad luck to those who missed her

LOL do you know I thought "why is Filly talking about lumpiness and I wonder what is wrong with Greeny?"

Had completely not noticed your customised name...

I do pity you, dreadfully. I blame your brother. And how quickly can you get better?

I will be coming to London, even if I sound like Darth Vadar

I have got antibiotics now, really string ones, so I'm sure I will be fine. I bloody hope so, I can't face another night like last night, I kept oscillating between freezing cold and deliriously hot, couldn't sleep, and my throat felt like razor blades.

How do you blame my brother? You loon

FillyjonktheBananaEater · 24/09/2006 19:25

oooh, get her with her fancy emocions

There isn't really a "get well soon" emocion, is there?

how about just

said sympathetically, like a nice doctor?

FrannyandZooey · 24/09/2006 19:26

I bet he got a big funnel and forced strong cider down your throat, then gave you blowbacks until your tonsils swelled up like balloons

OP posts:
GreenLumpyTonsils · 24/09/2006 19:27

No, they had chinese takeaway and got pissed in front of me

FrannyandZooey · 24/09/2006 19:27

ps am very glad your antibiotics are really string

that will sort it out, won't it

You hard, hard woman

fullmoonfiend · 24/09/2006 19:45

oh greeny, just twigged it's you, {{{{{{{there, there}}}}}

That sounds really horrid, hope the drugs work very swiftly.....

Paps, am only 'allowed' on here for 5 minutes tonight as dh wants to do bonding wine drinking and sofa snuggling stuff. Besides, all my illusions have been shattered, now I know you don't really look like this

NotQuiteCockney · 24/09/2006 20:25

Fillyjonk, I am a pretty clumsy person, and have found improving my balance has cut down on the falling over, a bit.

Had two oranges today, some filo parcels (with squash in), some dried fruit ... does chocolate brioche count? Probably not.

Big run, anyway. So business as usual here.

ills · 24/09/2006 20:33

Well first day
Grapes
raisins
tomatoes
lettuce
more salad
orange juice
Lots of wine at friends party and 20 minutes swimming whilst kids were having lesson
Will try harder tomorrow

Bozza · 24/09/2006 20:49

TBH I find it much harder at weekend. Is anyone else like this?

Today I managed
melon and yohurt for breakfast - 1
juice - 1
1 pear - 1
small piece of leek & feta quiche with sweetcorn wheel and one whole courgette (but sliced) - 2
2 plums - 1
chicken biryani - but made with lots of cauli and peas - 2
blueberries and yoghurt - 1
dried fruit - 1

So actually I have done it.

FrannyandZooey · 24/09/2006 21:06

Well done chaps I think you are doing splendidly

I find it easier at a weekend as I am less tired, usually. In the week my energy levels drop and I want to reach for the cake tin instead of the fruit bowl.

Today had veg and hummus at lunchtime, and lentils, mash (I know the mash doesn't count), green beans and sweetcorn for dinner. I think on the whole I have upped my veg proportion this week. I bought some more hummus plus beetroot, tomatoes, mushrooms and carrots today so I am going to have some raw veg each day this week.

oh I see, lol, no not literally, but am on a different time zone to alot of Mn's so my posts are a little 'out'. Have just eaten a fruit salad, with my Ds for breakfast, it's a start!

FillyjonktheBananaEater · 24/09/2006 23:34

hey kjaysmummy, where are you....

guessing...

far away?

kjaysmum · 25/09/2006 07:06

hello Filly, I am in New Zealand, does cooked fruit count, I had an apple and cinnamon scone at lunch time, it's tea time now and I still have to get another four pieces in I don't think I can do it today, this is harder than it sounds...

FrannyandZooey · 25/09/2006 08:02

New thread for the week here

welcome kjaysmummy and come on in colditz

OP posts:
colditz · 25/09/2006 20:16

Oh, okay.

Today I have eaten

1 chicken salad sandwich (290 cals)

1 tuna, tomato and onion toastie

1 pear

Spag bol made with turkey mince and lots of salad

1 wodge of brie with 4 crisp breads.

Not great. But not awful either. The chicken sandwich was a rush job, as I had to leave the house before breakfast. I have joined a swimming initiative near me, I can get unlimited swimming for £13.50 per month. So I went swimming this evening, and let me say that I will have no trouble dropping off tonight!

My aim is to get my BMI down from nearly 35 to under 25. I've got to lose about 4.5 stone. But I will get there. The changes I've made are the biggest changes I have ever made, so I hope they work!

FrannyandZooey · 25/09/2006 21:58

Yay colditz

Well done for making all these changes. We will try to support you on the way. Join us on the new thread though, the link is on my last post. Lots of people on there to congratulate you and give ideas (and go off at odd tangents about nonsense)
