OK chaps? I won't post the links again this time if you don't mind.

I will start the thread by saying that Paps is not ethereal and wispy but very groomed and chic. Bad luck to those who missed her

how does one have a mystery food situation?!!

NotQuiteCockney · 19/09/2006 14:25

Oh, sorry, got into it earlier in the thread - a friend is having "us" over for tea. I know she'll expect to feed the kids, but I suspect she won't be planning to feed me? (I know that her and her dp eat separately from their kids, iyswim.)

It's fine, I can throw something together for dh and I when I get home.

Am eating a cheese and tomato sarnie as I type.

GreensleevesTheParrot · 19/09/2006 14:52

Oh, Spidermama, did it go OK? Nice to see you back

Overrun · 19/09/2006 16:18

So far, grapefruit, orange juice, apple, salad. No exercise again I'm afraid, perhaps I will get out my exercise dvd when the kids go to bed.
Franny, thats a plan with the photos, will send them to you when I have a moment

Overrun · 19/09/2006 19:46

I have emailed you Franny, how are you this eveing? How is every one?
I had brocoli, pepper, shallots and courgette with chicken and potatoes for tea.

Tinkerbe11 · 19/09/2006 19:51

Hey Overrun am okay, but dh is working working, grumble grumble.

Ate lentils with miso, aubergine and courgette, brown rice - the kids loved it!

So we can see some pics soon huh?

Overrun · 19/09/2006 19:55

Hopefully, have to say amazed at your children eating brown rice, is so chewy, periodically try to cook it, but texture always beats me. Is it the difference between brown rice and white rice as important as between brown bread and white? Hope that this is not too dull a line of questioning

FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 19:59

Overrun, have mailed you back. Good lord you have some nice looking children there.

I have been at an aerobics class. I was thinking, we should let ds join this thread, he never ruddy stops moving and he eats more fruit than me (spent all afternoon going "pleeeeeeeeease can I have another clementine, pleeeeeeeeeeeeease?")

Overrun · 19/09/2006 20:06

Hi Franny, thanks again for the compliment, but I have been trying since I got your email to put them up and they just wont accept them, ffs, just don't understand it. I would be eternally in your debt

FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 20:07

Oh bolleaux. What is it saying, Overrun, when you try to do it?

OP posts:
Overrun · 19/09/2006 20:12

I press upload, it takes ages and then says its too big

FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 20:13

Ok

I will resize them

(they were not too big, I don't get it)

OP posts:
Overrun · 19/09/2006 20:15

Really weird isn't it? I have tried to follow the instructions that you linked to a couple of days ago and there just doesn't seem to be the facility, I use My pictures, which came with my computer, it's a microsoft product right?

Tinkerbe11 · 19/09/2006 20:20

I cook brown rice with the lid on whole time so it steams. 1 cup rice, 1.5 cups water. Put in some garlic chopped and a bit of salt.

When posting the file to thread, do you load the file (pic) then upload and wait - then you are told its uploaded.

FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 20:25

Sorry overrun I have not used My Pictures I don't think...

I have tried to resize and send back to you, hopefully it will work

OP posts:
Overrun · 19/09/2006 20:29

thanks for the rice tip, and now I am taking up both of your time with this blinking photo thing. I still can't do it, and am getting seriously p*sed off now
I now locate the picture, then upload it, but then before it has finished uploading, it says a pop up appears saying its uploaded, but then no photo appears.

Overrun · 19/09/2006 20:34

Hi, now I am going to give up, I get an empty box instead of the box where you browse and then upload. I think the fault doesn't necesscarily just lie with me, which makes me feel a bit better.
I am going to go and have a breather now, Franny it would be great if you could do it for me, I don't mind about not being able to take them down. But please don't feel like you have to do them now, I know you are busy, just when you have time.
I really did try you know

Tinkerbe11 · 19/09/2006 20:37

I had that today, so just re-tried and it worked.

The brown rice, fry the garlic until you can smell it in the oil. Add rice, salt and water - turn up heat to full and put on lid.
Once it comes to boil, turn heat down as low as possible and leave for about 25 minutes.

Those are better instructions!

FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 20:40

Overrun, I am happy to do them for you. Just thought you might feel empowered if you could do them yourself

Sorry it is being such an arse. I am not busy and can do them right away - what titles would you like me to put on the threads?

OP posts:
Overrun · 19/09/2006 20:42

Thanks so much, I really wanted to do them, so at least I can feel that I tried rather than just aksing you to do it for me
The first one is of dt1, the redhead is my oldest son and the black and white photo is dt2, they are all taken in the park. Thank you

FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 20:54

They are all done and they are all beautiful

I think I know what the problem might have been, it should have occurred to me before

You didn't actually start the threads, did you? The way I always do it is to start the thread first then click on the link which comes up to add a picture. It never fails if you do it that way. The only annoying thing is it takes a couple of seconds after you post the thread, and you always get some wise cracker saying "Oooh he looks very pale" or something

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 20:56

DT2

DT1

and DS1

OP posts:
Overrun · 19/09/2006 20:57

Thanks Franny, its funny how ds1 has gone all fuzzy but other two pictures are clear, its all a mystery to me. I will try your tip, you really are a very nice mumsnetter

FrannyandZooey · 19/09/2006 20:59

I do have my moments

I think the close up photos work much better, they have all come out quite well though I think

OP posts:
Overrun · 19/09/2006 21:03

Not go go on about it but tried your suggestion and still no joy, that box where you upload etc still empty, might be having pc problems. Oh well, at least my boys are up there
