For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY

(if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion)

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY

(can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more)

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being.

Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

DS is also a Libra his birthday is next Friday. MIL and PIL are both next week as well making the Libra as well! Its an epidemic i tell you!

FrannyandZooey · 10/09/2006 10:06

Charlee as long as you eat your 10 fruit and veg (and it has not escaped my notice that you are one of my star pupils ) you can eat what the hell you like the rest of the time

personally I find I am mostly full from all the f + v but you have got a mini-Charlee to feed as well of course

I celebrate life as a Librian..almost slap-bang in the middle....scales of justice, balance, wear clothes to adorn our bodies rather than for practicle purposes, kind, generous, charming, thoughtful, passionate.....with deluded vanities!!

Nul points on the board...'resting' after a brilliant but 'heavy' night at an old R&B gig.

Papillon · 10/09/2006 17:41

Anyone notice the sudden tilt Great Britian experienced at 4.00pm as all single females surged towards Pan´s residence, on account of his eligible Libran stats

It seems after a week of Firepan protection, it is our duty girls of the fruit and vege, to don our uniforms and save our hero from feminine swapping!!

Take care Pan not to venture into your vegetable garden in a muscle shirt

Papillon · 10/09/2006 17:44

3 apples
2 plums
spinach
sweet potato
grapes

I need to go shopping am running out of food, might have problems getting to 10 - will eat some raw carrots still in the bottom of the vege bin.

Just had a nice simple meal of polenta, black beans in a light tomato sauce and spinach.

Current missing persons are FMF and overrun - did they go away?

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 18:20

Yes, Papillon, it's the "deluded vanities" bit that really draws them in!!

And the strange thing is, I AM shirtless, on this glorious afternoon, turning a spoil heap in my garden into an arable spot for veggie growing!! VVVQV keeps promising to send me some seeds, but, hey, wimmin for you....

(say this in the hope she will lurk on this thread and fear for her reputation and get as far as the pillar box

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 18:29

yes, I noticed the missing kittens as well, paps.

Fear they may have been disillusioned by the Blair-Brown power struggle type thing going on with our delicate thread...hope peace breaks out round the fruit bowl...

and Frances, when you have finished slicing Fills into little peices, can you please not forget to commence a new thread later....we will need a new home for the new week. And can we keep the smutty inuendoes please?

And Where is fullmoonfiend? I did see a beer on sale last night called "Full Moon", so it is all making sense to me now.....[smile}

Papillon · 10/09/2006 18:30

aww don´t you want to be saved

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 18:30

or even ..ooops, the sun is getting to me. At last

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 18:32

Would love to be 'saved', for later...

Papillon · 10/09/2006 18:33

I hope Beetroot comes back - she is ok by me as let me sleep in her field once and sit at her table.

She is an oldie though and not easily subdued (franny)

Papillon · 10/09/2006 18:35

Beetroot Beetroot Beetroot Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetroooooooooooooot

I mean come we need her, she is a virtual portion of root vegetableness.

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 18:36

slight hijack - is there a simple way to put picture of dd in the members profile bit? If it is a real pain to explain, then it's ok.

FrannyandZooey · 10/09/2006 19:14

Just upload the picture, Pan, by following the instructions when you start the thread on Member's Profiles. If you get stuck email it to me and I can do it for you.

I will start a new thread in the morning as always, would I fail my flock? Even when the pc was broke I asked HC to start a new thread for me on the Monday morning, but she informed me a new one had already been started at the weekend

Yes you gotta watch that flying high feeling, it tends to trip one up. I went over my handle bars and broke my shoulder thinking I could ride my bike like Sari

You got something to rub on for the pain?

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 19:51

Paps!! You look spectacular......as fit as a fiddle........

Frances - the site won't upload dd - she is obviuosly too beautiful for the system to cope with!

have emailed her to you.(will not HER as such...)

thanking you muchly.....

fullmoonfiend · 10/09/2006 19:52

Fullmoon has been star-gazing in her new campervan at the seaside Lots and lots of exercise, on the very very steep road to the fishing village to the campsite
followed by field games with the pack of young boys on the camp site. Some fruit, - mostly free blackberries gleaned in the forest and some field mushrooms - least we think they were edible and we ain't dead yet! Lots of veg for dinner tonight - roast chicken with roast butternut, carrots, parsnips, leeks and beans.

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 19:52

Frances, its come flying back....bollocks. Sorry.

fullmoonfiend · 10/09/2006 19:53

oh lordy - please ignore that inappropriape wink!! Twas supposed to be a smile!!

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 19:57

Yes FMF, playing with packs of boys can work you up a thirst I'm sure.....

It was in a pub in Glossop - bit of a crusty place, real ale dudes, dreadful dress sense, Levellers on the juke box, that kinda thing? Just up your street...Aaaanyway, at the bar I see "FullMoon" real ale advertised, and thought "aha...I see her inspiration now"..The Globe pub in Glossop.

Pan1 · 10/09/2006 20:01

Freud would have a field day with you FMF!.....

Frances. Can you mail me please, so I can respond with said photo? Will grovel and andand fight Fills if you wish me to....

FrannyandZooey · 10/09/2006 20:11

please send to my other one frannyandzooey at india dot com
