For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY

(if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion)

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY

(can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more)

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being.

oooh, get him, so keen

Papillon · 09/09/2006 19:03

Just had my parents singing it down the phone from NZ lol !

For all you who ask who this Pan is, all I can say is I have found him to be a gentleman, and thats a good thing imo, especially when stuck up trees in an autumn frost.

My vege intake has been slack the last two days, had a lovely piece of sweetcorn with dinner.

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2006 19:09

Happy birthday Paps! Hope you have had a great day (did not have you sussed for a Virgoan, that is for sure)

I happen to know it's NQC's and Pan's birthdays coming up as well

Have we got any star signs on here other than Virgo and Libra, at all?

Its your mischievous young mate and her, to be or not be vegetable stirring franny I bought some quinoa yesterday and am going to sprout it so will let you all know what it takes like in afew days.

defo not your typical virgo, my leo rising takes care of that! Makes me a terrible disciple Seeing as we know it seems most here´s sun signs, whats your´s franny?

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2006 20:44

Oh I am a Libran too, thought I had already said. I think Librans and Virgoans are bound to be suckers for this thread tbh - Librans are usually struggling to achieve balance in their lives and Virgoans are often obsessive about order and details, Fillyjonk

Filly, when you've got a moment in between bananas, can I just ask you to clear up something that has been bothering me, though? Why do you think I am friends with god, exactly?

OP posts:
FillyjonktheBananaEater · 09/09/2006 21:26

I thought hc was god?

Is this not the case?

Has she lied to us?

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2006 21:28

What??? Oh lord HC's ego is rampant enough without you saying she is god

she is maybe some lesser deity in charge of party rings, perhaps

that's as far as I am willing to go

OP posts:
FillyjonktheBananaEater · 09/09/2006 21:29

wtf are these party rings, anyway?

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2006 22:01

HC has a quiet night in

Papillon · 10/09/2006 07:12

Good morning Franny, up with the tweety birds this morning

How are you today?

FrannyandZooey · 10/09/2006 07:23

Morning Paps, I feel very good, thanks I have a personal training session this morning and a 1 year old's birthday party this afternoon (more September people). How are you and how was your birthday?

OP posts:
Papillon · 10/09/2006 07:33

Birthday was nice family day together having lunch and time by a lake and mountains. Avoided going drinking with mates as I hate hangovers and felt in the mood to drink loads! dh wants to take us up a glacier today, but I am not really into an early winter.

We have lots of Librans in our family, as well as friends, my bro was born Friday 13th!

FrannyandZooey · 10/09/2006 07:43

Sounds very nice indeed. God I love not waking up with a hangover, especially at this time of the year when the air is getting nice and crisp and autumnal

I don't think I reported in yesterday, so while I am at it:

Melon, apple x 2, peach x 2, raisins, grapes, strawberries, huge plate of roast courgettes (from friend's organic allotment), sweet potato, peppers and mushrooms, oh and baked beans for lunch (I do eat quite a lot of baked beans, I am coming to realise )

Charleesunnysunsun · 10/09/2006 09:35

Morning!

Had a lovley evening and i devoured a whole big movie bag of Malteasers!

I don't know what i'm doing today possibly scouting a boot sale or to.

I have noticed that as well as eating my 10 portions of fruit or veg i haven't actually cut down on the intake of junk food so i should really start that! Shame since dp want's to get a Burger King for lunch! O well i will have to be strong and not have one.

Well i best go do the motherly thing as my son's nappy smell slightly like a dead rat, (where's dp when i need him?)
