tjacksonpfc, I am so so sorry to read your latest message. I just wanted to add my sympathies but wish I could offer you and your children more right now and in the coming months.

do accept any offers from those around you, you don't have to go through this alone I hope. Words aren't coming right but that is the least of your concerns right now. Sorry I'm rambling, when all I want to do is something that can take pain away.

macwoozy · 25/07/2006 10:37

Tjackson, missed this thread the first time round, how tragic for you. If there is anything we can do to help you then we will. If you feel up to talking to Delgirl then do, she is so lovely

Are you getting support/counselling at the moment?

((((hugs))))

wrinklytum · 25/07/2006 11:33

So sorry how devastating.

aitch71 · 25/07/2006 11:35

oh how frightening for you... i don't have time to read all the posts but i just wanted to say that my mum was diagnosed with colon cancer in OCtober last year, operated on in November and is as fit as a flea now. she didn't even need chemo or radiotherapy or anything. she was lucky that they caught it early on, so she had an op to remove a sizeable part of her intestine but they join the bits together and she was fine. it's a big op, without a doubt, but it has very high success rates.
all the best to you and your DP.

FoghornLeghorn · 25/07/2006 11:36

aitch, you need to read the whole thread

aitch71 · 25/07/2006 11:39

oh i am so sorry for posting to you about my mum's good fortune. i have just scrolled down and seen your most recent message.
the thing i didn't tell you in my other message was that my dad actually died from colon cancer fifteen years ago... i was so hoping that your story would turn out well...
please accept my apologies and my deepest sympathy.

Kelly1978 · 25/07/2006 11:48

Twinkie1 · 25/07/2006 12:04

Just wanted to extend my sympathies to you and your family and say how sorry I am for your loss.

Its early days yet but make sure you take any offers of help from anyone and especially from bereavement counselling services - they really do help.

Squarer · 25/07/2006 12:32

I am so sorry about your loss. You have been through the mill these last couple of months.

When your head starts to clear, there are some books about dealing with loss through cancer on the Cancer Bacup site under Resources and Support.
