not sure what i'm dong , still feeling bleugh but am very very bored. dh suggested meal out (no, too nauseaus) or cinema - weather is rubbish of course. not sure if i'm up to anything other than moaning really. oh i cannot wait to feel better!

topsyturner · 27/08/2012 12:13

Afternoon All

Today I am in Soft Play Hell !
My friend and I have taken the DC to soft play and the little angels have run wild and free whilst we have coffee , chilli con carne and free wifi !

But oh my god the noise ...

MaryAnnSingleton · 27/08/2012 12:24

sounds like hell to me topsy !! hope coffee and cake will soothe Grin
Fingers crossed for getting home gig xxx
Cinema and wagamama today...then back to normal as dh back at work.
Am bitten by about 1000 fleas- I blame my mum's cats -Celeste has been deflead regularly and house sprayed with Indorex- no one else has been bitten- so itchy and horrid.

overthemill · 27/08/2012 12:39

mas do you think waggamama would sting my mouth? avoiding most foods at present but idea of noodles really appeals. our nearest one is 14 miles away though!

topsyturner · 27/08/2012 12:42

Kids happy .
Good friend with me so ignoring the soft play madness and chatting with her .

graciesmall09 · 27/08/2012 12:54

Afternoon all.

Are you loving the weather topsy? What a fine day we are having. Kept me awake most of the night although I never sleep the week after chemo anyway so no big shakes. Have fun at the soft play, no throwing balls in the ball pit Grin.

overthemill never eaten at waggamama so not sure what their food is like. do know though that I always eat curries week after chemo as it is about the only thing I can taste and my mouth doesn't hurt too much - salt and vinegar crisps are a whole different matter.

Argh re; fleas mas. I hate the thought of them. I think I would crack if the dog brought fleas in.

I have cleared the boys drawers/cupboards and have uniforms, etc. all ready for tomorrow so hopefully I will do some ebay bits and pieces today. Promised to make the kids scones so will pop some on the trolley. DH's dad is ill again so waiting for a bed for another blood transfusion - I think this is no. 7 since March Sad. He seems to be going downhill but still really cheerful dear love him but DH is worried.

gigs hope you enjoy your time at home. Don't overdo it.

Gigondas · 27/08/2012 12:59

Soft play is on my imaginary list of things I can't do with cancer. Also weeps at thought that they don't grow out of it that quickly. Still wifi and food sounds ok.

gracie am on way home now and my mum is there so hoping for pampering but slim chance when big gig gets hold of me .

otm I think noodles would be good- they do soup ones and I don't think soy would hurt. Plus you could ask for them to lower chilli etc.

mas in my wall to wall reading of paper whilst I was inside they said that there was a flea infestation this year due to wet weather . But sympathy as they itch.

topsyturner · 27/08/2012 18:02

Survived soft play !
Wasn't bad actually . Kids went off and played . Friend and I drank coffee , ate food , and chatted for ages .

Weather has been pretty special today Gracie hasn't it ?
My DD is back to school tomorrow too .
Have to wait a whole nother week for DS though Sad

Hope you enjoy your day trip home Gigs , I too cannot understand the method in their madness , but who are we mere mortals to second guess the medics ...

Pork chops , broccoli , mash and gravy for dinner .
If you are quick you might get here in time !

topsyturner · 27/08/2012 18:03

Did you get your noodles OTM ?
If not try scrambled eggs ?

Gigondas · 27/08/2012 18:49

Yes or toast and anything - marmite , peanut butter. You need to up blood sugar as will help otm

gracie are your lot back this week?

Lovely If domestic trip home- made dinner , played with gigs, sympathised with dh about his back (giant haystacks mini gig seems to have given him bad back from amount of carrying) and did baths. Now on way back- was actually lovely as 1 . Normal 2 . It proves no logic to medics as I feel ok. I can understand need to use anti bio but as I am neither unwell or neutropenic , I am a bit Hmm. I will be more than that If I have another line incident as that would start to point to their fuck up.

What's on tv? Sorry no time to add to fbs but I think there is half a pack of chocolate biscuits in my room.

Wonders how smee is doing.

topsyturner · 27/08/2012 19:19

New series of New Tricks starts at 9pm on the Beeb Gigs .
Glad the trip home was good . But you do realise that if your picc plays up again the medics will say it was down to your home visit Grin

Gigondas · 27/08/2012 19:45

Oh yeah Grin although just been banged back up and given the all clear.

New tricks is ok but it's not subtitled stuff. Preferably montalbano.
Has the weather restrained pig dog?

I had wagamama ramen which is noodles in big bowl of soup with fried tofu, chicken, dory and seaweed and green bits -very mild and gentle and soothing. We went to see Brave which was v good.

topsyturner · 27/08/2012 20:49

Yum Mas , and DD very Envy of you seeing Brave . It's on her list of things to do !

Gigs , banged up ?
Are you reduced to slipping out ?
Grin

topsyturner · 27/08/2012 20:49

Aaaaaaargh !
Slopping out !!!

overthemill · 27/08/2012 21:03

mas that sounds heavenly! didn't go out, slept for 3 hours instead - is there no end to the amount of sleep my body needs?! I did look on their website and then in my wagamma cookbook but just couldn't do it. Instead lovely dh cooked me homemade chips, deep fried courgettes and cold gammon with a fried egg! Healthy, eh??? delish... but probably not healthy
gigs your day sounds lovely, isn't it nice to be normal? Very jealous, can't wait to see daughter on wednesday when she comes home after 18 days away... missing her very much. even having fond soft play memories!

overthemill · 27/08/2012 21:15

currently watching the movie 'once' on iplayer - god it's good, if you like music do watch before it disappears.

Gigondas · 27/08/2012 21:18

Will check it out but if sleep and comfort food what you need then go with it otm.

Yes I have slopped out and it will be lights out soon.

Am wary tho as when you are doing bird they always look for time to add on your sentence (or they need no excuse to keep you here longer so having seen home , am worried I wont escape tomororw ESP as they arent due to spring me til I have done my third dose).

topsyturner · 28/08/2012 02:30

Gigondas · 28/08/2012 06:45

You were in sympathy with me Werent you thinking about when we back in nam topsy? I think soft play gave you flashbacks.
