I watched X - Factor Gigs .
Then Casualty .
Now CSI .
Can't wait for DD to go back to school on Monday so I can perve on Cumberbatch .
Am glad so many of you think that he's weird , all the more for me Grin

Are you feeling poorly Gig ?
Ask for a sleeping tab and try to sleep it off .

Gigondas · 25/08/2012 22:52

Am ok but tired/washed out and intermittently nauseous - meds help and it's nothing out of ordinary but usually I can sleep it off in comfort at home.

Watched some Italian detective thing on bbc4 which was quite good - am proud could stay awake for subtitles.

You will have to say what you think of benedict thing topsy if you can get past perving.Wink

I've watched the Cumberbatch -he is odd,but in a good way,I think...I rather liked it-haven't a clue what it's about really,but...
Beef rendang was yum.

topsyturner · 25/08/2012 23:19

Was it Zen Gigs ?
That was a good one .
There was another one I'm trying to remember the name of that I watched on one of the BBCs . It was Italian too .
Bugger , what was it called ???

NedSchneebly · 26/08/2012 07:07

Morning all. Currently watching "Fantasia" with DS. He loves it, which i think is slightly weird for a 4 year old. . . .

It is his party today (birthday tomorrow) so rather over excited and bouncy this morning... I was up late as my newly engaged brother and his girlfriend are staying, so i am not at all bouncy. The boy is very excited about the prospect of being allowed to open the presents from his friends BEFORE his actual birthday!

I thought the Benedict thing was lovely, for obvious reasons (topsy you will have to share with me, whatever the others say!) but, like MAS said, not sure exactly what was going on.

Hope everyone has nice plans for today x x

Gigondas · 26/08/2012 08:38

Dd loves fantasia although there are bits of she likes better so they get repeated - and then reenacted a lot. Good luck with the party ned

Was set in Sicily - inspecto montalbano so although fantastic scenery even if possibly plot was more midsomer murders than the killing.

Feeling less sick so going to attempt breakfast

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 26/08/2012 08:40

Fantasia -aw,used to watch that with T- but there are scary bits aren't there' ?
Happy pre-birthday to junior ned !! hope he has a lovely time.
Think we'll go out for a walk somewhere as it's sunny !

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/08/2012 08:42

hope breakfast stays down gig

We used to have to watch back to back Railway Children and Swallows & Amazons and ds also loved Battle of Britain which was on constantly.

overthemill · 26/08/2012 09:27

Morning all just up after 12 hours plus asleep! Still nowhere near normal but feel better than.yesterday. Must get sore mouth sorted out though and sore head too!

Zen was fab. Ooh Rufus Sewell

topsyturner · 26/08/2012 09:40

Ah Montalbano !
Thanks for the reminder . I watched the first series last year .
Is he still as prone to snouty outbursts ?
Agree the scenery is absolutely gorgeous .

Today's plans ?
Rudely awoken by pig/dog at 8.15 .
There were Killer Wood Pigeons on our back lawn .
And his father was out on his Death Bicycle , so pig/dog had to protect us all !

Off to Granny's in a couple of hours for lunch .

Looks like a lovely sunny day here today .
Enjoy it , whatever you are doing !

topsyturner · 26/08/2012 09:41

That would be shouty not snouty Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/08/2012 13:23

I think Rufus Sewell was in Parade's End ...

Gigondas · 26/08/2012 14:04

He was- was mad vicar but I was being bothered by nurse so may have to rewarch that on iPad.

Grin at pig dog- his devotion to your family knows no limits.

Managed a trip out for lunch with dh and the mini gigs and ate- amazing what difference just that can make as feel
Loads less bleurgh.

OP posts:
amberlight · 26/08/2012 14:47

Ah yes, Death Bicycles are indeed a great danger to family life Grin
Hurrah for feeling less bleurgh, Gigs!

topsyturner · 26/08/2012 16:08

Must stress that it is pig/dog who thinks they are Death Cycles . And that people need dragging off them by their toes ...
Grin

topsyturner · 26/08/2012 16:09

He's now outside attempting to high jump all the birds fat balls out of the trees !

Gigondas · 26/08/2012 16:11

Well makes sense- he has dealt with the land threat so is moving onto terror from
The skies Grin

OP posts:
topsyturner · 26/08/2012 17:39

He has also dealt with the Horror That Is A 3 Year Old Boy Playing On A Slide In His Own Garden Next Door ... Grin
Bloody dog !!!
Won't have any friends left if he keeps this up .

overthemill · 26/08/2012 18:20

oh love pigdog, my own version barks at lawnmowers and People Who Put Their Bins Out...

had lovely lunch - pea soup and a cornish pasty. strange but true it sorted me out. went all the way across the road to see friend and fell asleep on her sofa! soon will have no friends left. about to have jacket potato.

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/08/2012 18:31

glad you're feeling less bleugh gig
One of our dogs used to bite cyclists tyres on the tow path and went completely mental in the car whenever he saw a bike.
Had a trip to Uppark in W Sussex - you can see the sea from the grounds, just about.

Gigondas · 26/08/2012 18:52

That's good you managed to eat and get out otm

Grin at dog stories. My old dog was violently against anyone using sticks or zimmers ...

Now to decide on evenings viewing

Tonight we shall be watching the first in a new series of George Gently .
If that doesn't put me to sleep , nothing will !
Grin

Gigondas · 26/08/2012 19:58

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 26/08/2012 21:42
