Hey kurri can we add certain relationship threads to ones about the supernatural where normal rules of posting descend into lunacy and abuse.

Morning all! Just passing by to say hello. I've got the day off work and need to clean the house, so why I find myself on here I don't know.

Waves to gig hope those nurses let you have some rest today.

Topsy saw your eye on fb and was most impressed! Hope its better now.

I'll put some coffee on, I had poached eggs for breakfast as my friend gave me some home grown eggs. scrummy!

jchocchip · 22/08/2012 08:25

I remember, was going to let you know that dd1 passed her A levels (despite breaking up with bf of 5 years in middle of exams) She has decided to go to Birmingham City University to do the Art foundation course. Just around the corner from Cadburys World, don't know if that swayed the decision at all!

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/08/2012 08:28

hey, brilliant jane - well done dd Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/08/2012 08:30

and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to amber* !!!!!! xxxxx

NedSchneebly · 22/08/2012 08:38

Morning lovelies Smile Big hugs to all having treatment, waiting for treatment, recovering from treatment, and anyone who's finished treatment altogether, but would like a hug anyway.

Lovely lady from the village died of ovarian cancer last week, and I've been asked to play the organ at her funeral tomorrow. She was such a stickler for getting things right, I feel a certain responsibility to get the hymns note perfect!

Good news for all those with DCs and positive exam results - jchoc I am sure that Cadbury World is a very positive reason to select that particular uni!

kurri hope your eye and bum are better today? Can I join the queue for Howards Way DVDs? Interesting Howards Way fact for the morning - the man who played the main chap's son is the father of Freddie Highmore, who was the boy in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Finding Neverland etc. . . . I really shoul get out more, shouldn't I?

gig how you doing this morning lovely? Bummer about chemo delay. Hope things get moving today?

MAS must be lovely to have your boys back. Hope they had a lovely time?

topsy glad to hear your eye has gone down a bit. It sure was an impressive swelling (that actually sounds a bit rude. . . Blush)

Waves to smee who's probably in bed. . .

gracie number 7? The end is so near now, my love. Hope you are planning some very decadent way of celebrating once number 8 is done? Start planning it now! Do you know what your rads plan is yet?

Must tidy up a bit and put the bins out. . . see you all later x x x x

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/08/2012 08:44

waving to ned - you'll play beautifully I know - will be thinking of you.
Am very happy to have them back- missed them a lot, usually I don't mind a few days on my own,but this was not such fun. They had a lovely time and seem to have eaten lots !

graciesmall09 · 22/08/2012 08:54

Morning all,

Hi jchoc well done to DD. Cadbury World would be a very good incentive to visit for you. Nice to see you around. Hope all your appointments went well.

ned that is such a shame about the lady from your village. Awful, horrible disease. I'm sure you will play the organ just fine. Told my nurse yesterday I would be running naked down the street when I get no. 8 over and done with. I won't inflict that on my neighbours but I will be glad to see the back of it. Rads start 2.5 - 3 weeks after chemo so not really any time to do anything special so I think DH and I will plan a weekend away after rads and before Herceptin although there is only a 3 week gap then as well.

How are you this morning gigs? Hopefully chemo will go ahead for you as planned. I'm sure like me you will be glad to see the back of that picc. My consultant asked me did I want to leave it in for my Herceptin which would mean it being in until Nov/Dec 2013. You can guess my answer to that one.

overthemill I know you have already left but good luck today.

Chemo not until 12 today but DS2 off to rugby camp and stupid dog decided to barf his breakfast up this morning nothing to do with the huge hunk of toilet paper he had eaten. He is quite good in that he tries to make it outside or to the bathroom but hasn't quite got the knack of missing my cream bathroom mat.

Waves to everyone else. Happy birthday from me too amber. Hope you got some sleep topsy and the concert didn't keep you awake. It wasn't coming from Belsonic was it as that is miles away. If it was hate to tell you but Stone Roses are playing maybe tonight or Friday.

Gigondas · 22/08/2012 09:00

Hi jchoc and well done your dd.

Good luck today gracie- They are talking about putting a port in instead? Tbh I am that fed up of lines I will take my chances with a Canula but wait and see what dr says. I hope chemo today (so out saturday) but nasty suspicion that may not be while they faff decide what to do.

Happy birthday amber

mas it is good that boys are home.

KurriKurri · 22/08/2012 10:59

Happy Birthday amber - hope you got lots of goodies and have cake lined up Smile

Gig - what a pain you are stuck in hospital, fingers crossed for chem going ahead today. - You are a brave woman if you've ventured into Relationships - it is chock a block with madness in there Grin

Ned - how sad about the lady from the village, I'm sure yo will do her proud with your playing. And yes will definitely send on the Howard's Way when I'm done (might be a little while because I'm off to my sister's for a couple of weeks or so tomorrow, but you can build up your anticipaton to fever pitch while you wait Grin)

jchoc - well done to your DD, so pleased she got what she needed to do her course, Cadbury's World sound like a major bonus!

Good luck with chemo today gracie, - hope it all goes well.

And good luck to you for tomorrow Over, wil say it now in case I am still packing tonight and forget Smile - Grin at your DD and Chris De Burgh - what a discerning child!

Waving to topsy and MAS, of to do the washing and ironing, and search for a suitcase.

jchocchip · 22/08/2012 11:27

gracie appointments went ok, apart from me being weepy, just waiting for squashy mamo on 31st. Good luck with your chemo later.

Cadburys World isn't such a bad idea, I've only got as far as the shop so far, but dd2 already thinks it is a good idea to do the tour...

Got two bags of minature peanut butter cups on offer in Asda, will sprinkle some on the trolley...

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/08/2012 11:36

I'm having those jane as they are one of my very favourite things

amberlight · 22/08/2012 11:53
Smile

Leaving a large birthday cake on the trolley...help yourselves....

graciesmall09 · 22/08/2012 17:10

Yum what a selection on the trolley today. >

Hope you are having a nice birthday amber.

Well no. 7 chemo done and dusted. Feeling completly zonked out. Think I was a little anxious as Emend had been left off my prescription so I have been told to phone if the sickness is bad. Feeling slightly queasy already but that may just be because I'm anxious.

topsy Seemingly the party at the neighbours (or so I thought) was actually the concert. Seemingly people were complaining in Comber so it must have been noisy with you. Stone Roses tonight.

Gigondas · 22/08/2012 20:37

Happy birthday amber

And glad no 7 done gracie - overthemillhope you are ok.

Am chemoing as I type - delayed start as was much (for drs) excitement as they found bugs on my line and in my blood (apparently they don't often do). But I was deemed well enough to start. Did have a slight wobble as pre med (which was what seemed to cause issue yesterday) made me feel suddenly cold and have lower blood pressure. Was ok (obviously) but they are going to lower the steroid dose tomorow. Has anyone else felt shivery and bit tired on chemo (sorry in fogged brain I did remember someone saying they did).

Back to Howard's way now...

well done gracie and hope everything continues smoothly gig - has the gambling mother of Jan appeared yet ?
Went to Hayling Island today and sat on the sunny but windy beach with picnic- was lovely. Always reminds me of ILGC as we look out at the Isle of Wight.

Gigondas · 22/08/2012 22:42

Yes plenty of gambling mum- onto series 3 now Blush

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 22/08/2012 22:44

Grin my olds took to watching at least 2 episodes a night

Gigondas · 22/08/2012 23:11

I think mum and me did about 4 one night last week Blush- I suppose it did prove I can stay up late. Am now out of episodes on my iPad so it may be YouTube like a saddo.

Very late finish on the meds tonight as started late (but at least they started today) so I am predicting I may need fbs/tlc as will be dead tired plus its day 3 in hospital which always seems worst day and dh has gone away on business . So just an early warning- hope I am wrong.
I am a bit fed up as I have asked repeatedly not for anything to be done unless an emergency after 10pm-last night did what is usually 9pm blood pressure check at 11, tonight won't be finished til midnight nearly(ok I get the first bout of chemo in but it takes it out of you if doesn't finish til late).

Sorry moany post- can you tell I am tired?

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 22/08/2012 23:40

Poor Gig - I hope they let you get some sleep. Hospital is very tiring, and yes chemo will def. make you feel tired, and wobbly.

Just wanted to come on and say night night, and cheerio for a couple of weeks or so a I am off first thing tomorrow, -good luck to everyone with appointment and treatment, I'll miss you all, and will bring you back some Scottish FBS Smile xx

Gigondas · 22/08/2012 23:45

Morning ladies hope you all have a good day.
KurriKurri and graciesmall99 invited me back here,so i really hope thats ok.I was unsure if it was the right place to post, when you are all having your own fight.
I started a new thread say my Aunt is being let home asap. There is nothing that can be do for her, apart from to try and make her painfree and peacefull.SadUncle was told she may to home by tomorrow if everything is sorted for her.Don't really know what Aunt will need but i really hope she gets home.
We are planning to make her last few months happy. Her first GC is due soon so hopefully she will still be here for a cuddle.

MaryAnnSingleton · 23/08/2012 08:54

kk will miss you very much-but have a wonderful time !
gig - grrr, being in hospital isn't fun, hope the rest of the stay is tolerable and you get some rest.
flyingunderpants hope your aunt will be comfortable and lovely that there'll be a gc soon.
It's my 17th wedding anniv. today - yay ! This time 17 years ago we were trying out of new coffee maker which was a present !

Gigondas · 23/08/2012 09:03

So no don't see groom on day mas.

Yes am shattered but feel ok aside from that- thanks largely to my lovely mum bringing me in lunch and dinner in food flasks. Makes such a difference.

Talking of weddings I have foolishly decided both gigs will be christened in december. And am having my first guest list dilemma ( well its not really as I won't invite anyone I don't want even if it is my god parents who have not exactly lived up to their billing). Expect more rants on this theme!
