Evening all - how are we all today?

smee hope DS not too grumpy?! My DS was slightly more excited about the police motorbikes that preceded th torch when it came through the village!

I have got 6 more rads, so finish monday week. It would have been this Friday, but I had a day off last Thursday as there was staff training on one of th machines, so have one extra day at the end. Bit of a bugger really, as I wanted to get them all done before I go on my fishing trip next weekend, but can't be helped, I guess. Nearly there. . .

MAS how was your day in London town? Hope you and T had fun x

Waves to sandripples -good to see you!

gracie wedding sounds fun! Hope you're feeling Ok today.

gig how's things with you? Hope all going Ok with you and mini gigs.

topsy will keep fingers crossed for no snow in NI. Whats the place you're going to? park? stately home type place?

Update on me for holsten dx jan 2012, lumpectomy in January, 3 x FEC and 3 x Docetaxol, starting in February, finishing June. Rads at the moment - done 14, 6 to go. On tamoxifen too. Waiting for results is rubbish - feel free to hang out with us while you're waiting Smile

Just eaten some lf th delicious Norwich dark chocolate that kurri brought me. Could possibly share if anyone fancies some? Get it while you can, as DH has his eye on some. . .

topsyturner · 21/07/2012 20:50

Hotel by the seaside Ned

Gigondas · 21/07/2012 20:52

Hi sandripples lovely to hear from you and all about your dc. Do keep us posted on how ds does in exams.

ned am doing ok- definitely starting to pick up on energy levels. And gracie I promise photos of big gig Olympics (but possibly not using my dress as tentWink).

topsy googled that place and it looks yummy. Meant to say loads of thanks for your package - I look a bit less scummy now without it (and am keeping the big gig pressie as part of her goodie bag for holidays).

Am lighting a candle for smees friends baby. My excitement tomorrow is off to see my mum for lunch and (small world alert) let big gig (and mini gig) play with their cousins who are I think smees god children.

Gigondas · 21/07/2012 20:53

I have ordered a policeman too for big gig Olympics it is for her not me honest .

Why are you living under a rock? Surely pig dog will bother you there If knows you have food.

topsyturner · 21/07/2012 21:01

Not a prob Gig , a girl can never have enough tubi grip ...
(no putting all of it on at once and pretending to be a Mummy)

Hiding under a rock as my DD just back from a day out with my neighbour and her DC , and she Won't Stop Talking !
I am glad she has such a fantastic time , but My God my ears are bleeding Grin

smee · 21/07/2012 21:01

Ooh a book recommendation from SR. Have noted it down. Smile

Envy at Topsy's meal. Now there's a BIL to have.

Ned, what a sod that you have to wait over another weekend, but still how exciting to be near to the end. Smile

Torch was far more fun second time round. Some friends live on the route, so we sat on their steps in the sun drinking tea and watched along with the rest of the road. DS zoomed alongside for a bit on his scooter. The police were encouraging him! Smile

I have just been sitting watching a Smurf movie with DS and am shocked to say it was hugely amusing. I think MAS would like it as it has a rather extraordinary ginger cat as the baddie's side-kick.

topsyturner · 21/07/2012 22:18

Managed to stay awake all day and evening .
Off to bed now with i player .
Pleeeeeeeease Great God of Sleep , let me have a full night of zzzzzzzzzzzs tonight .

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/07/2012 09:24

Yay for fabulous wedding gracie - food sounds yum.
Thinking of the Baby today smee
Had a very lovely long day out -went to the Festival of the World thing on the S Bank and had very delicious lunch from the food market (spinach and feta wrap for me/potato and kofta wrap for ds and dh had a salt marsh lamb burger,a glass of wine and the boys had crepes and maple syrup and I had heavenly coffee and pistachio icecream) Walked for miles- a big loop around London,up to Tate Modern, across the river and then towards Holborn,C Garden (bought a big bag of pick'n'mix from the wonderful Sugar Sin on Long Acre) bought new drawing paper and then back across the river for supper at Wagamama. My hip aches but it was worth it ! Ds finished off with hot churros and chocolate sauce from the food market on the way to the station !

Got to get showered and presentable now for our lunch out .

Must have a look at your boy's photography mas. Off to MIL for lunch so have a look when I get back.

Hope everyone has a great day. Will catch up later is MIL hasn't exhausted me with her constant chatter.

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/07/2012 13:04

OP posts:
topsyturner · 22/07/2012 17:02

I'm baaaaa-aaack !

Gawd , I dont think I'll ever eat again !

Lovely lunch , even had 2 glasses of wine .
Wore make up ( Gracie you are a cheeky cat Grin )
Did change my mind and wear the floral maxi dress .

Time to lie on the sofa groaning and clutching my tummy Grin

smee · 22/07/2012 17:24

Wallander and crisps sounds like a heavenly mix. Are you still wafting around in your maxi dress, Topsy?!

Am mighty jealous of MAS's food yesterday and Topsy's today. We had toasties for lunch. v.nice, but still must do better for tea. Just back from a canoeing trip. Mighty fine it was too. I even got chatted up by a house-boat owner. DH delighted in pointing out he was stoned. Apparently he started talking to a duck once I'd gone. Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 22/07/2012 17:40

arf @ smee !!!
That food market is so fab- we were hopelessly indecisive as there is far too much to choose from !

OP posts:
MaryAnnSingleton · 22/07/2012 17:41

there's always room for a little something I find topsy - glad you had a fab time !

OP posts:
topsyturner · 22/07/2012 17:54

Arf at talking to a duck Grin

topsyturner · 22/07/2012 21:18

Hope you are all watching Wallander ?
It's the last of this series .
Last chance for a Branagh Perve ... Grin

smee · 22/07/2012 22:54

Mr B is rather appealing, Topsy. I reckon nice to curl up with in front of an open fire, though not sure I'd take it further than that. In other words, he's all yours. Grin

topsyturner · 22/07/2012 22:59

I seem to find bumbling type men attractive . Kurt Wallander is not exactly action hero material is he ? Grin

Reading through a recipe book of soups trying to decide what to make tomorrow .
Whatever I decide on will be mainly carrot based , as that's what I seem to have a glut of !

Anyone with any appointments this week ?
Think I just have my nurses house visits this week . Must check my callander and make sure .

smee · 23/07/2012 00:16

Carrot and coriander gets my vote. Hope you sleep xx

topsyturner · 23/07/2012 00:44

Still up Smee , grrrr !

Gigondas · 23/07/2012 07:37

Tried valerian ? That quite good sleep remedy.

Hope Scan went ok for baby smee.

Had nice day and huge lunch at my mums yesterday. Now to enjoy sunshine.

Have Scan on Friday (routine one apparently to see If progress) but I think that is getting me down as been feeling but low and scared off and on. I really feel for your friends smee as part of my hate of scans comes from previous experience of often getting bad news via scans.

Iamseeingstars · 23/07/2012 09:45

All this talk of food. making me full just thinking about it. Nice to see lots of positive and cheerful news.

I'm feeling a bit better, less miserable, but have cracked yet another bone in my spine after lifting something. All good fun. My back muscles also keep going into spasms and Im not sure how to stop this, but its painful - any clues anyone?

I looked at my body today in a long mirror, and it is so horrible. Lots of bruises, mishaped boobs, drooooopy bum, skinny legs. Not a nice sight at all. I used to have a fantastic body, but then put a lot of weight on. Have lost the weight but not regained the beautiful body. Old age I guess.

Hugs to everyone including Smee, Topsy and MaryAnnSingleton, KurriKurri and Gigondas.
