Oh God, smee, how awful.

Am sending as much as i can channel, and lighting the candle again.

Gigondas · 19/07/2012 11:36

Sending good thoughts for smees friend and offering a hopeful story about d niece who was born at 27 weeks after placental abrupt ion. Is super bright lovely 17 year old now but had very grim start so hoping for same for your friends baby.

AngryAngrySadre senco- and I bet topsy is right that is same person. But can see how delay wouldnt help poor ds.

Just taken about an hour to have bloods done and picc line changed by district nurse- Either he is incompetent or likes my chat. Still it diverted me from my previous rather worrying activity of cleaning the fridge.

topsyturner · 19/07/2012 11:44

Was that a typo or did I note a MALE district nurse Gigs ???
Is he handsome ???

My nurse is due today for picc line cleaning too .
And my boob dressing , which appears to have become slightly leaky overnight .
Am hoping this is nothing !

Gigondas · 19/07/2012 12:01

Nope it is a man but not talking handsome -but very camp and chatty but you can dream topsyWink

topsyturner · 19/07/2012 12:36

Sigh - another bubble burst Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 19/07/2012 12:44

I was driving along very happily earlier this morning, towards a junction, when a car turned in from the other direction, and the guy in it yelled 'Cocksucker' right at me Shock

I have no clue what I am supposed to have done, couldn't have cut him up or anything, and have never seen him in my life before. Not that I care, but I mean, really. How RUDE Confused Grin

topsyturner · 19/07/2012 12:45

But were you Sometimes GrinGrinGrin

Sometimesiwonder · 19/07/2012 12:55

Not at the time, no - I am stickler for road safetyl Grin

topsyturner · 19/07/2012 13:33

Aah , obviously not wearing your high vis jacket ...

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/07/2012 13:49

I am Shock !

OP posts:
topsyturner · 19/07/2012 13:54

Yes , she's a shocker isn't she Mas ?
Grin

Gigondas · 19/07/2012 14:50

Eh has sometimes turned into Gillian taylforth?

Can offer some rubbish scones- the bloke off British bake off recipe is nowhere near as good as the one gracie sent me.

Sometimesiwonder · 19/07/2012 15:11

Gracie sent scones????!!! Envy

Gigondas · 19/07/2012 15:17

No a recipe - I has to make the scones.

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/07/2012 15:42

Gracie's are better than Paul Hollywood's eh ?

OP posts:
Sometimesiwonder · 19/07/2012 16:33

Ah, then it can't be an error in the interpretation either, if you made both batches, so it's official. Gracie 1, Paul H - nul points.

Sometimesiwonder · 19/07/2012 16:34

Just had to do my version of the walk of shame again - dd declined to come home with me - preferred her bessie mate's offers of endless bouncing on the trampoline and a plate of spag bol. At a bit of a loose end now.

graciesmall09 · 19/07/2012 17:31

Blush glad the scones went well gigs it was probably the baker rather than the recipe that made the difference.

smee positive thoughts for your friend's little baby, I really hope everything turns out ok.

sometimes put your feet up and relax - enjoy the break.

All my kiddies have gone off to Granny's until Sunday. House is really quiet and DD has been very clingy last couple of days. She keeps saying what would she do if I wasn't here Sad. She had a few tears leaving this morning and DH said she cried when he left her. She is such a wee darling.

Weather has taken a turn for the better so hopefully it will hold for the weekend. Still no word from bollocks?

topsyturner · 19/07/2012 19:11

Saw the accessories on Facebook Gracie
Very nice , they will go beautifully with the dress .
Is the wedding tomorrow or Saturday ?

Poor DD , is she starting to feel the cancer thing ?

Just had soup for dinner .
Have now developed an interesting crop of mouth ulcers !
Am doing really well this month Grin

Going to make a batch of lentil soup tomorrow , anyone got a good recipe ?
I tend to just follow the lentil , stock cube , water method !

graciesmall09 · 19/07/2012 19:37

Wedding tomorrow Topsy would be looking forward to it more if I felt a bit better. Like you my mouth is raw and I don't really have much of an appetite. I also have either cystitis or infection not sure which but lets hope I'm within easy reach of wcs at all times Grin.

Haven't made soup in ages. I used to add in some pancetta to lentil soup although it can make it a bit salty so best to use a low salt stock, or even some curry powder to spice it up a bit

Sometimesiwonder · 19/07/2012 19:39

I'd recommend pushing the boat out and using more than one lentil, Topsy Unless it's one of those puy things, they are mahoosive.....

topsyturner · 19/07/2012 19:43

Ooh Gracie , in that case I would advise that you don't forget the ultimate accessory of a tena lady ... Grin

Hhm , have some bacon that needs using up . That could go in the soup couldn't it ?
My (Indian) sister in law always puts cumin in her lentil soup . It's very tasty .

Sometimes , will try to remember multiple lenti Grin

smee · 19/07/2012 19:48

I see Sometimes has managed to lower the tone again Grin

Topsy, I hated the whole mouth thing. Are you gargling? Bugger all else you can do, from what I remember. I have a great lentil soup recipe. Will find and send it in a bit.

Gracie, your DD sounds so very sweet. Tough when they're like that though. Hope you have a nice rest.

No real news from my friend. Her DH texted to say they'd been to see her in neonatal care and that the staff were all being hugely positive, so am hoping that's a good sign. Poor thing, had to have an emergency caesarian, so this afternoon was the first time she'd even seen the baby. Sad

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/07/2012 19:54

Sad smee
Sorry to hear about sore mouth topsy and gracie's cystitis
Dh makes a yummy Dutch soup with split peas, sausages and celeriac - it's very filling indeed- it also has cloves in it,which m,akes it quite unusual.
His best soup is an argentinian beef soup - yum yum yum.
