Morning all. Brew and toast available for those up early. Can I pinch one of your buns holestenlips? (sounds rude).

Good luck to our Three Muskateers and to Topsy for results. Hope everything goes smoothly for you.

I forgot to mention in my long rambly post last night that (tadaaaaa) my scar has finally healed and I am no longer wearing dressings, just shoving a thick piece of gauze between skin and bra to protect it from rubbing. It's only taken 6 months!!! Smile

MaryAnnSingleton · 20/02/2012 07:47

yay figgy ! that's excellent -and very lovely to have you back (though I 'see' you on fb !) Lots of good thoughts to 3 muskateers today and of course to purple topsy.
I got my path results a week after op when I saw surgeon -seems to vary I guess.
Have a good meeting smee - hope you won't be too exhausted.

Good news about your healing, figgy although poor you Sad that it's taken soooooo long. Glad to hear its feeling better.

Thanks for the advice about chemo too. I am having FEC first, so am aware of th sickness possibilities.

Loving the 3 Musketeers - I think I shall have to be the fat one, as I am sure that my fellow musketeers are positively sylph-like Smile let's do this, lime and eight! Think lime is already in - 9.30 appointment, if I remember rightly.

topsy the hair is excellent - very chic, I would say! Good luck for test results today - fingers crossed.

Hope everyone else OK this morning? I am trying to keep busy. . . 2 beds to change, washing to sort and dishwasher to empty. . .

SparkleRainbow · 20/02/2012 13:05

Thinking of you LJ and Eight and Ned.

Topsy - love the hair!

Jane I am sorry about your cousin's hubby, what a shock.

Love to all, at hospital with ds in a bit, see if we can do something about his feet. Will try and pop in a bit later.

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 13:28

Afternoon all, - thinking of ned, 1in8, and LJ for today, and topsy for tomorrow.

Love the hair topsy brilliant colour, - it's grown back well hasn't it?

Figgy - pleased to hear your scar has healed at last - but 6 months Shock - you poor thing - that must have contributed to you feeling down.

Good luck for DS at his appointment Sparkle - hope they can do something to help his feet.

Love to all, - went to a long yoga session this morning, so feeling chilled out.
Didn't realise it was pancake day tomorrow. I shall give up sugar in any form for lent, - I've already reduced it a lot.

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 13:31

Oh meant to say I have got about £50 in Amazon vouchers (DH gets given them for filling in surveys at work, and has handed them on - nice man)

Any recommendations or suggestions - doesn't have to be books. Might get some art stuff, or a top or something.

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 13:51

MAS - I have PM'd you.

I have just nipped in to say how much I love Topsy's hair, and to wish everyone with pesky hospital appointments today lots and lots of good things.

If I ever manage to complete this bloody corporate brochure I will be back. It's very, very hard - subject matter completely mysterious, and I am not starting from scratch, I have been drafted in to finish what someone else started and that's usually tougher than starting again in your own way Sad

LimeJellyforBrains · 20/02/2012 14:28

Hello everyone I'm back! and it's a big Grin on my face as the mammo was clear! Saw a nice lady doc I've never seen before and she's putting me down for a bone scan for my worries about sore ribs etc, and I'm to be seen at the clinic again in 3 months. Phew. She's also suggesting the surgeon see me some time after Easter re doing a reduction on the non-cancer side to even me up. Now am feeling more 'looked after' again instead of abandoned, which will help my state of mind Smile.

Coffee morning at the chemo unit was bittersweet as usual as I know that some of the lovely women there are on their second time around or more....Sad

Hope all is going well for Ned and 1in8. Thank you all for your support, I truly would have beena LOT more wibbly without it xx

Topsy that is a fab colour!

Have just joined the FB group but not a clue what to do with FB! I used to be quite techy, edit my own AutoExecBat and all sorts. Poor old gimmery thing now...

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 14:33

Hooray for clear mammo LJ - that's certainly worth a treat from the FBS trolley ('Is it on the trolley?' - said in a V.Wood voice Grin)

And good that you are feeling looked after - makes all the difference Smile

Waving to Sometimes - corporate brochure sound grim, and [confusing]

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 14:33

I mean Confused

Gigondas · 20/02/2012 14:45

That is good news lj. Smile I have to go into hospital this evening as surgeon wants to check the wound - so at least that will put my mind at rest about healing

Sometimesiwonder · 20/02/2012 14:50

Thanks - waving back. Can you tell I am starting to lose hope, I have wandered back here already! I've put pressure on myself to finish by emailing the client and telling him to expect it tomorrow. Yikes! But it is the only way to make myself knuckle down.

LJ, a very big woo hoo for a clear mammogram and for feeling looked after. I do think it is hard when all the appointments etc stop and you get chucked out into the cold, cold snow.

I too have sore ribs right under where the lump was, it has been there ever since radio stopped and sometimes it is worse than others. I think it is damage caused by the radio, it is pretty common. Better to get checked if worried though.

Dd (she's an anxious child, for those that don't know) has yet another cold and has become obsessed by the colour of her snot, and whether the different shades portend anything dangerous. And by telling me all about it each time she blows her nose. Last night she dreamed about it. I have lost my patience on this one, a bit Blush .

Sometimesiwonder · 20/02/2012 14:51

Hope all goes well Gig - good that he is keeping an eye on it.

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 14:58

Good you've got an appointment Gig - hopefully it will be nothing to worry about, but good to be reassured.

Oh dear Sometimes re the snot obsession (but also slightly Grin) - did the Dr. ask about the colour of her snot the other day? - so she's got a bit worked up about it? (I do remember an aunt telling me when I was a child, that if you didn't go to the loo when you needed to, your bladder would burst Shock - cue me getting up every five minutes in the night for a wee, until my mum noticed and assured me there would be no explosion!)

amberlight · 20/02/2012 15:10

Back from wild weekend. Feel hugely better than I did last week, thankfully.
Brew available whilst I catch up.

Sometimesiwonder · 20/02/2012 15:16

Hi amber - spill some of the juicier details, weekend-wise [nosy]

I don't think he did, KK. It is just her latest obsession - along with how often she goes for a poo - even her bessie mate told her to shut up about it, apparently she'd talked about it all day Grin Actually your story about your aunt and the wee thing sounds just like her. I think I need to cultivate more patience and just accept it is how she is. I'm not painting a very appealing picture of her, am I? Sometimes she is cute, honest!

amberlight · 20/02/2012 15:19

Welllll.....there was the small matter of us scandalising the landlords with our state of undress at a percetly decent time of day, and the matter of the rude statues in the Bishop's Palace, and then there was the Purchase of the Book of Dubious Contents and us going a bit pagan at Glastonbury. I shall expect excommunication jolly pronto really. Grin

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 15:22

I think she sounds a real sweetie Sometimes - it's often the brightest children that worry about all sorts of things, she'll cope better once she's old enough to see the bigger picture Smile - I do sympathise with poo and snot details though - you get enough of that kind of chat in hospital Grin

Glad you are feeling refreshed amber, wild weekend sounds good Grin

Sometimesiwonder · 20/02/2012 15:24

Sounds like my kind of weekend if I had the stamina

[Angles interrogation lamp, draws up comfy chair]

KurriKurri · 20/02/2012 15:24

Rude statues in the Bishop's Palace?? Shock ,

MaryAnnSingleton · 20/02/2012 15:30

junior sometimes is adorable -she writes and draws beautifully too.
Ds used to fret endlessly about stuff at that age- he was always worried about dying in the night Shock -it's because they have great imagination.
Hooray LJ for a clear mammo - I think that rads does do a fair bit of damage to the rest of the breast tissue and underneath, mine is still tender, compared with the other side, and I'm coming up to 3 years post surgery/rads.
Hope your brochure isn't too horribly dull and tricky sometimes
What on earth have you been up to amber ~?

OP posts:
Sometimesiwonder · 20/02/2012 16:03

Aw, thanks MAS. I suppose she is, really Smile

Amber has been being a bit naughty I think......

Brochure is very horrible. Have totally stalled now. Think I may give up and cry instead [childish]
