That's good Mumofone ESP as being so thorough.

Agree tb thing is a geography one as discussed it with hv about why don't vaccinate dd2 (we are just outside the zone Mas talked about).

Going to raid fbs trolley as done in( but did manage to get up and walk without crutches). Chocolate and rest definitely required as shock etc kicking in (plus missing girls and ESP concerned that so much of dd2 being newborn dominated by me being sick).

jchocchip · 11/02/2012 17:46

Excellent news mumofjust1 that'll be a weight off your mind. Always best to be sure and get unusual bumps checked out as quickly as possible. As mas says celebrate your fat boob :)

On a train heading north. Quarter to 6 and only just gone dark. I do love the evenings getting lighter :D

jchocchip · 11/02/2012 17:55

xpost gig Glad to hear you managed a bit without crutches. Hope you can cuddle your dds soon, you must miss them so much and the whole emotional side of being postnatal and hormonal on top of your dx must be awful. You need chocolate on prescription, plenty of cocoa solids and rest, which I know can sometimes be hard in hospital.

BackforGood · 11/02/2012 18:21

MAS - am puzzled as to why your brother and niece want to maul your ds (Sat, 9.10) ? Confused
Welcome MumofJust1 - sorry you have to be here, but glad you've found us.... sounding positive for you at the moment, but we all know how scary the wait is.
So kind of Poppydog to make time to update us on Gig - it's not like you've got much else to occupy you with a new baby, a toddler, and your wife undergoing surgery Grin. Thanks for taking the time to let us know the good news so far.
Waves to everyone else x

OneInEight · 11/02/2012 18:50

Great news MumOfJust1 - I bet you sleep well tonite.

MaryAnnSingleton · 11/02/2012 18:55

my brother isn't mauling ds- just 9 year old niece- she and ds get on brilliantly and she roughs him up Grin
Off to have some supper with them at parents then heading off to party...love to all x

Oh crap, just lost long post. . . Will try again!

kurri Dorset is lovely in the sunshine! Went for a long walk with DH and DS and dogs: satisfactorily muddy! Definitely going to Lyme tomorrow for fossil hunting. DS is very excited about finding bits of dinosaur on the beach! Smile

Thanks for talking such sense, as always, about chemo- you've been through the ringer too! I think I need to get on with it, rather than stressing about what might be, or what could happen. I know it's going to be shitty at times, I just need to understand HOW shitty, iyswim.

MAS hope you had a lovely evening?

Waves to everyone, offering Wine, fbs and hugs, as required!

Gigondas · 11/02/2012 21:08

Hugs Ned - I don't think you are being daft as I feel like that re chemo. My mum likened it to using bleach on top of toilet cleaner which made me feel bit better about it .

Enjoy your wine- am turning in now as need sleep

smee · 11/02/2012 21:11

Ooh, so glad about MumOfJust1. That does sound like good news. Smile

Still too busy to really post much and am off to my parents tomorrow, as Dad has his slightly scary op on Monday, so I want to be with them. Might not be here for a few days then, so wishing you all well. Gig, you especially. Hope you're back with your lovely DH and DD's very soon.

Have a great rest of the weekend - see you all in a few days. Smile

Ilovegeorgeclooney · 11/02/2012 23:39

Hello all,
I have not been here for a while but you have all been in my thoughts and I hope you are all doing well. DD1 has been quite poorly, only to be expected, but has now had 9 of her 12 chemos so we are getting to the end. DD2 is still very fragile emotionally but the grief counselling is helping. She still gets very angry that she lost her Dad when some of her friends dad's are not bothered and the memories of that hideous night will never leave either of us. However I at least knew that the bleep of the monitor was due to the cpr the paramedics were giving him, she actually thought they had been able to save him. I am hoping that she will at least be able to deal with it and stop feeling she can't speak to me for fear of upsetting me.
At least DS is doing well.
Take care everyone

Iamseeingstars · 12/02/2012 06:05

ILGC - nice to hear from you. My thoughts are with you, you have been through so much. Glad to hear your DD is getting through the chemo, but I know it will have been a rough ride. Is she still trying to study?

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/02/2012 09:42

smee take care and will be thinking of your dad -are they doing it with a local anaesthetic ? Lots of good thoughts to him and your mum and you.
I do like the image of bleach on top of loo cleaner Gigondas !
ILGC lovely to see you- well done to dd1 for all she's been through so far and hope that dd2's counselling will help her- having been through grief counselling I know that it is so helpful.
Waves to stars
Party was really very good- serious house envy as they have a fabulous loft conversion and kitchen extension and they are beautifully done. Chatted to various nice neighbours and drank wine.

Love the bleach image too gig ! Hope you're doing ok this morning?

Hugs to ILGC and your family. I can't imagine what you have all been through x x

Thinking of you and your parents smee hope your dads op goes completely according to plan x x

glad you had a good party MAS !

Hope next Friday brings more reassurance mumofjust1 i definitely agree with others- fat boobs sounds good!

KurriKurri · 12/02/2012 13:33

Smee- I logged on late and you've probably left by now, but in case you can read this, loads of good wishes to your Dad for his op. I hope it improves things for him, and he recovers asap. Lots of love to you all xx

ILGC - you've all been through so much, it must be immensely difficult for you, and a year is such a very very short time, of course you are all still in shock and grieving so much. Good thoughts to you all, for DD2, - I hope the counselling helps her and shows her the way to being able talk about everything she's been through, DD1 for the rest of her treatment, I hope she can get through the rest without feeling too awful - , and DS - for doing well and I am guessing being an all round good chap. And of course to you xx

Stars - I hope you are feeling a little stronger now, it's lovely to see you as always Smile

Bleach image is very good Gigondas (we may nick that one!) - your mum sounds like a wise woman.

Glad you enjoyed the party MAS Smile

Ned - have a nice day at Lyme, - hope DS finds something dinosaurish (that you can carry!)Grin

It's cold and bright here, have been pottering in the garden but can't do much as ground is so hard, and my hands start freezing rather quickly. So I've come in to order my seeds for this year Smile

Lovely Sunday to all.

mumofjust1 · 12/02/2012 16:05

Thanks all - I don't care how fat my boobs are, as long as they're healthy Grin

Gigondas · 12/02/2012 19:05

Smee sending you and your family good wishes for your dads op.

Kurri - what seeds are you growing? Am an enthusiastic if less than successful gardener.

ILgc - so sorry to read of all you have been through. I think good therapy/counselling is amazing so I hope it helps your dd2. Best wishes for dd1 too.

Feeling bit stronger today and am hoping for maybe going home on Tuesday- surgeon coming in tomorrow to check progress.

Hello to everyone else (I have some galaxy bars here for the trolley) . Think I may also change tv channel as Whitney Houston piece a bit Sad

Have a nice day mas.

Have just had check up and wound healing nicely but am still not ready to go home as want to make sure am not draining too much fluid. So here til at least tomorrow . It's too early to tell but if wound heals well may avoid second op where they have to deal with dead skin/tidy up stitches so am keeping fingers crossed .

Hope everyone else ok

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/02/2012 09:01

fingers crossed for good healing Gigondas - hope you dopn't have to be there too much longer x

bumbleymummy · 13/02/2012 09:48

Hi all. Hope you don't mind me joining in. MaryAnn very kindly invited me over. :)

I found a lump at the weekend and I'm currently waiting on a doctor phoning me back to try to get an appointment today. It's a weird kind of lumpy lump iykwim and it's quite large (about 10p diameter size). It's quite deep and I only really found it because my breast had been sore for a few days and I started feeling around a bit deeper. The pain actually reminds me of a blocked duct but I haven't bf on that side for over a year (DS has a favourite side Hmm) so I'm not sure that's possible. I'm obviously hoping for the best and it's been great reading all your posts. I was worried that it would be a bit scary for me right now Blush

Gigondas · 13/02/2012 09:58

Welcome bumbley. Obviously need to see dr to see what it is. However I had a galactaceole due to breast feeding that was there and kept coming back well over a year after I stopped feeding dd (in fact nearly 2 years later I finally had op to remove it). So IMe milk production can carry on long after you stop feeding.

Hope all goes well and we can offer comfort/help.
