Spacecadet has asked me to get everyone who was concerned about her know, that she was admitted to hospital last night. she is currently in MAU, where she will be for up 48 hours depending on how she responds to treatment. She had another chest x-ray and is on IV antibiotics and also a drip as she was dehydrated. She has asked me to say thankyou to everyone who was concerned about her.

had first decent nights sleep for ages last night, still feel very tired, but not so ill that i feel like i cant cope, im pottering very gently round the house and doing some light household chores, may be a diff story when i have to leave the house tomorrow and do the school run for the first time this term, im very aware of not throwing myself straight in at the deep end again though just cos i feel better.

Hi SC! Just read the thread and glad you are a bit better but really think you shouldn't be doing the school run. What if you pass out while driving? Also even the simplest of drives can be quite stressful, esp at rush hour and you are supposed to be taking it easy. Would hate to see nannyk and everyone else's hard work go to waste.
Didn't you say that reallynotveryDH had sorted out the school run? Sorry to stick my oar in.

spacecadet · 15/01/2006 15:18

he sorted it out for last week but not this week, imexpected to take ds2 to school this week, the school is 5 mins away, but i would drive i havent the energy to walk, havent been out as such for nearly 3 weeks, except for hospital.

WideWebWitch · 15/01/2006 15:23

sc, only just seen this, sympathy.

spacecadet · 15/01/2006 15:28

thanks www, although im over the worst now.

jaamy · 15/01/2006 15:30

Surely whoever did the school run last week could do it again for you this week. I'm sure they'll understand that you were at death's door last week. Could DH sort it out for you before some of the more vocal MNers come back on and start shouting at him!

spacecadet · 15/01/2006 15:33

i will organise it

cod-nannyk was witness to some of dd1;s explosive behaviour and has suggested a parent/child contract.

its a long story...but for example, if she kicks off about something and i attempt to punish her, by withdrawing priviliges etc, she goes beserk and starts screaming hysterically so the neighbours think im murdering her!!

Just read this thread and I have never spoke to you spacecadet (I don't think) I hope you get through this difficult time and I must say the kindness and support the MNers have shown are fab...this is truely wonderful to see people caring so much and rallying around in support (especially when never met in rl before)...I hope your health and situation eases soon. Best Wishes. x
