Spacecadet has asked me to get everyone who was concerned about her know, that she was admitted to hospital last night. she is currently in MAU, where she will be for up 48 hours depending on how she responds to treatment. She had another chest x-ray and is on IV antibiotics and also a drip as she was dehydrated. She has asked me to say thankyou to everyone who was concerned about her.

im so touched by the kindness of mumsnetters, I have just taken delivery of a cottage pie, m and s veg, chocolate cake and flowers from gizmo, im only embarrassed that i looked like death warmed up while meeting a fellow mumsnetter.

mummytosteven · 10/01/2006 22:14

Am off to bed now with a warm feeling in my heart of doing something nice for someone else
Will go to Spaceys tomorrow and all going well (ie neither of us turn out to be raving loonies) I hope to help her out til the weekend. Watch out her dd1 - SuperNanny's on her way!!!

(I don't know if I should be scared than her or not!!!!!)

Spidermama · 10/01/2006 22:47

Hello spacey. I'm so glad you seem to have turned the corner. Don't forget the pro biotics.
All the best. x

MarsOnLife · 11/01/2006 00:26

Don't worry spacey. Your lovely gorgeous dd will return when she's 16. Until then, just agree with her.... yeah I am unreasonable. Yeah, your life is pants etc... takes the winds right out of their sails.

btw I passed your addy on to CQ so that she could deliver dinner. Hope you don't mind... but couldn't sit here doing nothing.

BudaBabe · 11/01/2006 06:53

Glad you can still smile SC - I'd be tearing my hair out dealing with all you have on your plate atm!!!

Hope all goes well today with Nannyk!

You just concentrate on getting better.

bobbybobbobbingalong · 11/01/2006 08:15

When I saw my GP after being released from hospital (and I was in for 4 days) he said "look woman - we used to keep people in for a fortnight and you did nothing - people die from this and you must go home and do nothing, drink 3 litres of water a day and did I mention doing nothing?"

My mum came all the way from the UK to NZ to look after the family for 4 weeks and for the first 2 weeks she did absolutely everything, I did one thing per day for the next 2 weeks.

I was ill in August and I still have days when I need to have a sleep. Shame ds doesn't!
