have a few health threads going, it's been a long 2 weeks, I miss my kids so much it physically hurts :-(
The results from my lung biopsy come back tidal and with it a final diagnosis.
The front runner is neurosarcoidosis but the big c is yet to be ruled out.
So scared just want to press fast forward and get on with what ever it is. :-(

Thank you so much all it means so much as ever, I'm still holding off the surgery, the two pockets of infection in my lung still there but blood results getting better.
I started a trail of oral antibiotics yesterday, my body struggling a bit and had a constant fever since, praying they kick in tomorrow.
Had another blood transfusion today as HB very low, so hopefully will perk me up.
Really really hoping I'm on my way home soon, for the first time in 4 weeks today, I am line free! Lovely to be able to move without tubes.
Dp is being so sweet and sending me lots of videos of the Little ones which I blub through :-(.
Thank you all the mumsnetters who have posted on this thread it's so lovely to read all the messages when I'm low, really is the best puck me up x

LargeGlassofRed · 10/12/2011 07:39

Hi all, still in!
They did an ultrasound on Thursday which showed these pockets of puss,
The consultants came round Friday morning and said puss needed to come out, I was still spiking temperatures and blood results had got a lot worse.
So they said there was a choice between putting a drain in under local using ultrasound, or if that couldn't be done another major Thoracromy where they wasn out chest cavity.
So I was very lucky Friday and had one of head consultants offer to try the drain under local, he managed to drain 100mls of puss and get the drain in, so all looking good!

Feeling alot brighter and have had no fevers since the puss came out, which has got to be good news.
The consultant coming to see me this morning, I'm really sure it's done the trick this time.
Not on oxygen by the way, the left lung is working well and doing all the work at the moment.

Angelswings · 10/12/2011 07:44

Sorry you are still un, but great news about the drain. I'll try and be thankful for my 2 working lungs today!

magso · 10/12/2011 11:29

Sorry you are still fighting off that infection and still needing to be in hospital. Good your left lung is behaving well enough for two, and that you are feeling brighter. Fingers crossed that you are on the home straight now.

essexgirl31 · 10/12/2011 15:14

Sorry you are still in Large Glass. Hopefully the drain will do the trick and you will be home soon.

Alouisee · 12/12/2011 07:55

Here's to a better week for you LargeGlass x

LargeGlassofRed · 14/12/2011 11:49
