have a few health threads going, it's been a long 2 weeks, I miss my kids so much it physically hurts :-(
The results from my lung biopsy come back tidal and with it a final diagnosis.
The front runner is neurosarcoidosis but the big c is yet to be ruled out.
So scared just want to press fast forward and get on with what ever it is. :-(

Thanks Magso and working, just been told doctors coming at 3 to talk to me, shitting myself. The nurses all seem to be avoiding me today, either that or paranoia as set in :-)

another one wishing you luck with your results, hope they let you out to your family today! xx

magso · 20/10/2011 12:23

Thats a long wait when you are worried! I know what you mean about the nurses seemining to avoid you - I felt the same! Is there anything distracting to do - like suduko puzzles or TV. You could write down questions as they pop into your head so that you can make the most of the chat with the specialist. (hug again)
Hope your questions are answered well and you feel better soon - and get home!

LargeGlassofRed · 20/10/2011 12:23

Thanks 25

Thanks again Magso, no telly, and get sick if I read to long because of vision problems.
Mumsnet is keeping me sane :)
Good idea about the list, will do that now

Adding good wishes for today, Glass. I have had nurse-avoiding-paranoia, I believe its a common symptom for those awaiting results:

I've also had mammographer-looking-gloomy-paranoia, radiographer-looking-anxious-paranoia, and surgeon-coming-out-of-dd's-op-halfway-through-terror. None were warranted, so I wouldn't take too much notice of that one, if I were you Wink

Actually, I doubt the nurses know more than you do at this point!

Waiting for results is just the pits, I know of no way around that feeling except to distract oneself as much as possible and just let the clock hands go round. I hope MN is helping....xxx

Ungratefulchild · 20/10/2011 13:18

Thinking of you today, hope it's good news and you feel much better soon x

LargeGlassofRed · 20/10/2011 13:57

Thanks Elibean very true, :) going slightly bonkers in here.
Thanks UGChild.

Thinking of you, LG. Will pop back later to see how you are

Becaroooo · 20/10/2011 14:10

Wishing you all the best x

ChippingInToThePumpkinLantern · 20/10/2011 14:18

It all sounds pretty awful. Hopefully they will have some good news for you today, a diagnosis and a treatment plan, at least then you can get on with getting better. It's crap, but better than the waiting x

essexgirl31 · 20/10/2011 15:37

Hi Largeglass,

Hope you ok. I will check back in later to see how you are. Thinking of you

grumpybat · 20/10/2011 15:38

Thinking of you today, I hope your results come back positive. I'm back home resting after my biopsy and fingers crossed you will be home soon too. I'll check in again later

grumpybat · 20/10/2011 15:38

LargeGlassofRed · 20/10/2011 17:15

Fighting back tears of frustration

essexgirl31 · 20/10/2011 17:19

Oh LargeGlass that is terrible.

Did they give you any indication of when they will be back?

LargeGlassofRed · 20/10/2011 17:32

No he said it takes as long as it takes :(

PosiesOfPoison · 20/10/2011 17:35

Oh crap. It doesn't mean anything, sometimes Doctors forget how patients feel and just concentrate on their own diag stats I think.

All the best.

grumpybat · 20/10/2011 17:47

Arse. Where are you? Are you getting visitors? I was on a renal/general ward so there was me and 5 elderly ladies on my bay, and some of them had quite advanced stage dementia. It really is very hard and I so feel for you. You just have to focus on the result. At least they are doing teir best to get your results for you, but I know how hard it is to be stuck on there.
Hang on in there Thanks

GalloweesG · 20/10/2011 17:50

What a nightmare for you. Do you get seen by a doctor every morning? Now might be the time to start pushing for any results that they do have. Blood counts would be a good start. Crp indicates infection levels. They need to tell you what they do know or certainly suspect so far. You are a rational, intelligent human being who realises that being hospital bound for two weeks isn't a usual scenario for most women in their 30's.

GalloweesG · 20/10/2011 17:52

Sorry that sounded ranty, I'll do a shout out for some nice normal posters to say the right thing and make you feel better.

TheOriginalFAB · 20/10/2011 17:58

Oh bugger. That is so frustrating. Would you like some mad visitors if any MNters were willing to visit if you could say where you were? I really hope you get news soon and it is good news and you can go home soon.

ChippingInToThePumpkinLantern · 20/10/2011 18:06

Oh I'm sorry - that's completely shit :(

WineBrewThanksBear

^ whichever you would like, take the lot if you want x

I hope that you get the results soon, the waiting is horrible.

GalloweesG · 20/10/2011 18:09

Yes where are you? (don't have to say obviously) but I'd visit if you were in my local hospital. Actually if you were in my local hospital I'd bust you out and take you to a proper nicer one. Wink

magso · 20/10/2011 18:41

Oh no! waiting is so difficult. Some of us are just difficult to diagnose! No wonder you are dissapointed!! Hope you start to get better soon!
