And another one can't be put back in, que lots of crying by me as very scarred of even more pain.
Anyway to cut a long story short, I now have 20mg of morphine every 2 hours and parscetamol and tegretol 4 times a day and diclafenic twice a day.
Still in alot if pain last night so anethatist came and gave be locals into the nerves on my back.
Also I might be home Monday! As longvas chest drain doesn't play up, that's coming out later today x

Thoracic surgery is so horrid but I hope that you do get the answers that you are looking for today. How is your breathing? Are you feeling like you are struggling to breath?

LargeGlassofRed · 17/11/2011 05:36

Very very releaved.
Unfortunaly have been unwell again though, finding it difficult to breath. And SAts around 90, am
On 2% oxygen now at sats around 96,
Have a cough and have been coughing clear fluid that tastes awful.
Also have had major leaking from wear the chest drain was, it happened first at 7 last night, I felt a weird pop and them lots of warm sticky fluid pouring down my back, the nurse patched it up and feltb it was fluid from around the lung leaking out of my track caused by having the tube in

Seeing the doctors at 8 will ask them about it then xx

Oh, that's great news! (have been following your thread quietly). So glad for you, and hope you're on the mend and home with the family soon. I gather sarcoidosis is a self-limiting disease?

recall · 17/11/2011 05:57

Great news on the biopsy result, wishing you a fast recovery now, and back home soon x

essexgirl31 · 17/11/2011 06:43

Pleased you have your results back. You know now and you will get better.
Sorry to hear you are still suffering though. This will get sorted too. Hopefully soon so you can get home to your family.

You have been so strong. I do admire you.

Gincognito · 17/11/2011 07:17

Hi LargeGlass, only just seen this. You must be very relieved to have a sarcoidosis diagnosis (that rhymes!). You've had an incredibly rough time! I'm also being investigated for sarc but the only symptoms I've had have been with my eyes (recurrent iritis and general dry-look-like-I-never-sleep redness) and some wonky bloods.

Hopefully now you have a firm diagnosis they will get you onto some serious steroids ASAP! Keep us updated x

RichTeaAreCrap · 17/11/2011 08:20

great news on your results, so pleased you have them back. Hope you have a speedy recovery now and can get home soon. You have been through a lot and you deserve a medal for staying so positive.

magso · 17/11/2011 08:57

Well at last you know what is making you so ill! Its been a long and very traumatic wait indeed!!
I hope that your recovery from surgery will proceed more comfortably, and you will soon be feeling much better.

eaglewings · 17/11/2011 10:31

Bring on the treatment! Hope the pain eases soon, the oozing stops and you can get back to your home ASAP
