Hello all
I am resurrecting an old tradition of boosting general health by committing to doing at least 10 mins of exercise and aiming for 10 portions of Fruit and veg a day.
The old threads always had genius titles - a particular favourite being aaah Leek out, le leek, c'est chic"

I'll give it a try. Today I definitely made the exercise grade, did 45 minutes of body combat and nearly died in the process and a 20 minute walk.

Fruit and veg I think I had 5. I will aim for 10 tomorrow.

May be bollocks nonsense but I could probably do with a bit more hydration

Definitely failed on the water front too then! The body combat was a first. I can already tell that I will be deeply regretting it in the morning. And doing the bare minimum of exercise for the rest of the week

Well I had too many coffees today but had carrot and apple juice
Salad and crudites at lunch
Leeks and mushrooms (do they count?) and peas at supper
And a banana and an apple
7/10 F&V
0/10 on exercise
and 1/10 on water
Oh dear. And I was late for the David Mitchell Webchat and hadnt done my homework read the book.

Definitely no Mung beans for me. I have had 5 water/diluting juice cos water is boring

Exercise is a zero today (it's a work day and I'm on call so not able to... although I did park about 5 minutes from work so nearly!

I've had a banana x 2, an apple, cherry tomatoes and a curry with lots of peppers tomatoes courgette and mushrooms in, so 8 I think.

(am also still sore from monday's body combat. I think I lost.)

Mushrooms definitely count. Although don't eat too many...

Or you'll not have mushroom for anything else.

Am having roasted veg for supper so there will be a few there. (courg, pepper, leek, s potato
Have had custard creams tomatoes, leaves, apple and banana so far.
Carrot juice
= 9 so far.

Will amble walk briskly to pick DS up

Water not so good as yet but theres time.

Walked briskly round the shops today which was clearly a good form of exercise.

Have had a poor fruit and veg day, as DD1 decided that we should go to IKEA for tea (don't ask) so have had: banana, vegetable soup (maybe 3 portions in this?) Peas. Think that's it.

Must do better. Tomorrow is a new day!

Aw a veg thread!

I quite miss religiously listing the ingredients of my dinner every day.

And then doing a bit of dress up victorian role play with brothels and bicycles.

Are you going to still do the role play? Or is it more about vegetables? You really need a balance.
