Fauve · 09/01/2006 23:54

I haven't been on these threads since the summer, when I gave up for the last time [proud emoticon], but I just have to report that I'm now dreaming about smoking. Isn't that weird? I keep having a fag in my dreams... I suppose it's because there's so much in the press and on the telly about giving up. Atleast I'm not waking up with a smoker's cough

notasheep · 10/01/2006 14:00

I have got to tell you ALL-I saw one of my clients today, she took a cigarette out of her packet and left it on the table for me.3 hours later at the end of my visit I put the same cigarette back in her packet!!!!!!!!!

It is certainly getting easier.

kleist · 10/01/2006 14:09

Hurray for you notasheep. Gosh, even I'd find that tempting! I have a smoking friend who always tries to get me to have one. I was sorely tempted a couple of times over Christmas ... in fact once I took one off her (to shut her up) went round the corner to smoke it (we were with our dds in a pub in the no-smoking bit) and just hid it under the ashtray. Stupid, I know, should've just kept saying no.

Well done, Fauve!

Dd had a lovely Christmas, drop, just the 3 of us at home but I stayed with my mum over New Year. Her eye seems to have recovered on its own so hopefully we'll avoid the surgeon's blade this time.

notasheep · 10/01/2006 14:26

Kliest-i just want to really be 3 years down the road with this non smoking-but at the same time dont want to wish my life away.

Dropinthe-we have never spoken

Charlie-give me a big pat on the back re;my client!

prettyfly1 · 10/01/2006 14:37

hi drop. long time no speak my lovely. still doing v well ????? i had a little moment of weakness last night, but overcame it!!!! and am smugly enjoying my 15th none smoking day!!!!!

eefs · 11/01/2006 11:38

yayhey - I went out to dinner last night, had lovely meal and lots of wine and didn't want to smoke once- even when others were going to smoking breaks. I did think about it but it wasn't a self-control type of inner struggle, just a passing thought.

I am still waking up with a heavy dry throat though, which I never had when I smoked. I'm also eating like a horse which I'm excusing as being a side effect of giving up, even though I'm not being plagued by craveings. Need to focus on that a little I think.

Am very proud of me.
