peters vad site is leaking a lot of fluid. indication of bad infection, he has pain in his back and feels rotton. swabs have been taken. am hoping infection doesnt get a grip too quickly as last time it set his ICD off 5times in 24hours, and its horrible. i have to phone in the morning to find out whats happening and if i can take the kids in or not.

Well, it would be great if you could line up a collection of higgeldy piggeldy local strangers / neighbours / friends / friends of friends etc. who may be able to help out once in a blue moon, LOL...

Hang on: idea - there are a few Web sites (IIRC) were people club together to pool petrol costs on work commutes etc... surely there's got to be a few folk doing from you to around Harefield every day ????

I think you should stay home for today You must be knackered He will be fine he is in good hands and you need to look after yourself too .My dp ran himself ragged when I was on dialysis and I still used to say similar things to Peter at the time which must have broken his heart but when you are that ill you are also a bit unreasonable and say desperate things Can you go at the weekend?

misdee · 17/11/2005 10:06

should be able to go at the weekend, FIL will be able to watch the older 2 then. i am shattered. am compeltely torn in 2, and feel that sparkley needs a day off from my kids and my kids need me to be here this evening and so things with them.

puff thank you very much for your donation. if i dont use it for cab/petrol today, then be assured it will get used for petrol soon.

puff · 17/11/2005 10:06

Even if you don't go today, it would be good to have the cash for the cab fares stashed in a pot somewhere in case you need to do this another day.

hub2dee · 17/11/2005 10:06

Also, thinking aloud, local firms to Harefield might offer decent cab rates, depending on how flexible you are. If you get friendly with the controller you might get shouts about when packages / passengers come to near where you live, and you can pay for free or cheaper ride as they return to base IYSWIM....

puff · 17/11/2005 10:06

no probs misdee - wish we could do more to help

hub2dee · 17/11/2005 10:08

If you're truly knacked, you're not really gonna be able to do much over there except give moral support and a stolen hug through the barrier, I guess.

Maybe taking the time to recuperate a bit would be a good idea ? And you have pressies coming today ! X Will make you feel nice !
