Morning all

I'ts Freezing here today. Nag me to do an online shop please.

Sorry for knackeredness, I am planning a nap if DD goes down.

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 09:45

Morning, ti me, Mouseface.

DH has gone back to bed ill.

(Do not comment on the fact that when I am ill I can't go back to bed because he has to 'work' from home because otherwise I may just fucking scream)

It's freezing here too so have the log burner going at full blast, it's lovely.

Nemo is really congested too so is coughing more = more puking.

Brian - I hope you get an appointment sooner rather than later. Poor Mole and poor you for lack of sleep.

Satan - I was up then too with a snuffly Nemo (DH has been in the spare room all night) it was freezing and pitch black!

Dubs - how are you today lovely??

Bitter - DO THE SHOPPING!!!!

So far today, I have had to deal with the electricity meter being read even though we have an on-line account.

Parcel Force delivering two panel heaters for the office

New desk for the office

New bookcase for the office.

DH is in bed.

bitter it's lovely

mouse - forgot to say, your cheque arrived, thank you its beautiful Grin

will let you know what dr says tomorrow in case any of it could help nemo. x

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 11:48

Yes please Brian! Although, amazingly Hmm, since I stopped all of his meds, he is MUCH better!!!

OP posts:
BrianAndHisBalls · 24/11/2010 11:54

god thats weird.

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 11:57

Not at all. My theory is that his meds try to stop the puking so his system fights harder to do so IYSWIM.....

Whenever they med him, he has more pain, more gurgling, increased vomming, less sleep, and is generally much more unhappy.

There has to be a link?

OP posts:
SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 24/11/2010 12:32

so he's clearly not responsive to meds, they've tried all sorts right? that's got to make him a very needy candidate for surgery surely?

is the improvement temporary - like a relief from stopping meds then it gets bad again?

sorry questions questions.

i'm like some weakety weak thing. have just managed to get dressed as i'll have to take ds to nursery soon. just a short walk but feels like a marathon at the minute.

i need to get healthy

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 12:52

Spot on Satan. Stop the meds = better for a few days and bang, right back to the start.

Yes, surgery is the only thing that can help him. The thing is, I'm not sure I want him to have it.

I need to look into and consider ALL of the cons. There are plenty but only one pro. To stop him vomiting.

Sorry you are feeling so shite still honey. You need to rest and properly. Can DS go to your sisters maybe at some point so you can rest?

When are your folks back?

OP posts:
SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 24/11/2010 12:52

am drinking hot lemon, root ginger and honey and it's making me sneeze like crazy.

must remember to cal the docs and check my prescription is there. someone slap me later please.

gonna walk the boy to school and go to the shops. hope everyone is having fun or napping.

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 24/11/2010 12:55

xposted. realistically i'm getting lots of rest. today i've pretty much just been curled up on the sofa and getting up to get drinks and food for ds. have only just gotten dressed to take him.

want to clean the house this afternoon whilst he's at school but would settle for tidying and hoovering down here and getting some washing (which i must rerinse now whilst i remember) hung out around the place.

my parents come back the same day i go to madrid - we almost pass at the airport.

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 24/11/2010 12:56

what are the cons?

off to nursery - will read when i get back. fb if you prefer or just ignore if you don't want to talk about it x

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 24/11/2010 13:02

Aternoon. Had an hours snooze but the phone woke me up.

So tired, sorry to those who have legit reasons to be, I don't know what's wrong with me!

BrianAndHisBalls · 24/11/2010 13:06

sorry mouse i see what you mean. mole is a bit like that in that they seem to give her more wind. I presume its the medicine converting the acid to other stuff? Dont know.

Will update you tomorrow when i know more x

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 13:09

Bitter - you have been like this for a while now. Have you ever been tested for diabetes?

You were craving sweet stuff too and are tired an awful lot. Worth checking? I'm worried about you.

Satan - here

OP posts:
Mouseface · 24/11/2010 13:18

As of yet, I don't know enough about to make an informed decision. I will let you know as I know more but Nemo's nurse has said the only pro is the 'potential reduced or stopping of vomiting' so it's not even a definate cure!

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 24/11/2010 13:19

Mouse, I've just been a bit off kilter since this sickness bug at the weekend, I'll be apples.

Will check out your link.

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 13:35

Are we JKing...... I am ranting at the tv.

OP posts:
SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 24/11/2010 13:36

but looks like it has a very good success rate and a low rate of complications. and tbh (but naive) the complications for the most part don't sound as bad as his current status?

dunno. have only read your link, you must know more about it.

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 24/11/2010 13:38

just turning it on mouse at your prompting.

boy is at school, fruit and milk have been bought. and i find myself flat on the sofa again.

don't know why i'm so exhausted.

SantaIsAnAnagramOfSatan · 24/11/2010 13:41

bitter hope you feel better for the weekend. know what you mean, you have the actual ill bit and then the wiped out bit afterwards.

i'm drinking full fat pepsi in the hopes of a bit of energy.

Mouseface · 24/11/2010 13:47

I really want to start a thread but don't want to because I know what will happen.

'Should there be an age limit on fertility treatment' is the JK topic. I could go on for hours about this.

Days propbably. So I best not.

I know nothing Saf, really I don't. I have that link and that's it. I want and need to get far more info before we can make a choice for him.

Is it permanent, can he ever eat solid foods if he has this..... infection risks from the gastrostomy that will have to be inserted....quality of life now v's with it done and the tube in......

Anyway.
