Why aren't Reform voters ashamed?

They don't seem to care that everyone will know they're racists.

It seems incredible to me that people are open about voting for them.

No @ACarefulTraveller, Labours “efforts” have proved fruitless. They have not changed in the least. Their anti-semitism and misogyny is still clear for us all to see. Your racism smears against others are hilarious in context.

Let’s not forget that Diane Abbot had the whip removed and was investigated for racial comments. Along comes a snap election and she is welcomed back into the fold so Labour can retain her safe seat.

TheShellBeach · 30/06/2024 19:11

That sounds a teensy bit racist to me.

Which race do you think I dislike? I rent out some of my houses houses to Romanians, Polish, Africans and Pakistani's.

BionicBadger · 30/06/2024 20:02

Not really @ACarefulTraveller. Both Tennant and Tate are sexist, racist idiots. Neither are candidates so it’s a strawman argument.

TinklySnail · 30/06/2024 20:04

ACarefulTraveller · 30/06/2024 19:53

It's not quite as clear to see as the racism of Reform candidates though, is it? Otherwise we'd have a slew of antisemitic comments from Labour candidates just like we have racist ones from Reform.

Which ones? The ones that have been dropped by the Reform party because they are not an inherently racist party?

zaffa · 30/06/2024 18:55

Sorry could you tell me what they are doing for me, a woman? Could you articulate how my four year old daughter will grow up safer under a Reform government, one in which Andrew Tate is lauded?

I've no idea where you got that quote from. I didn't say it. And to answer your question, your daughter would be worse off under Reform.

notgettinganyyounger · 30/06/2024 20:06

FFS calling reform voters thick and racist!!
Have you not read the backlash from the ACTOR who put on his rough accent deliberately to get channel 4 to film him making those hideous remarks. Google Andrew Parker Actor. He does secret filming, has worked for channel 4, plays the part of rough speaking characters etc? Now why would he go to Clacton to put on an accent?? Honest to God, people are so gullible it's laughable! Do you seriously think He would have put on an accent to say mosques should be turned into wetherspoons? If he meant it, why the accent?
He should be charged with a hate crime. He's admitted he did it and regrets it. The twat.

Not really @ACarefulTraveller. Both Tennant and Tate are sexist, racist idiots. Neither are candidates so it’s a strawman argument.

But no one in Labour has endorsed Tennant's views whereas Farage has endorsed Tate? I don't get how Tennant's views tell us anything about how Labour view women- but Farage's comments about Tate do tell us about Farage and therefore Reform. I don't know or care particularly what David Tennant has said because he doesn't represent the party. I do care what Farage is saying in terms of what that says about Reform.

Singersong · 30/06/2024 20:06

I am the opposite of ashamed.

WormBum · 30/06/2024 20:06

TheShellBeach · 30/06/2024 19:11

That sounds a teensy bit racist to me.

Wow. You don’t appear to realise that you are part of the problem.
Caring arse said nothing that’s not true.
How on earth do we resolve this mess when a poster can’t say something factual without being called racist?
The mind boggles.

ACarefulTraveller · 30/06/2024 20:07

TinklySnail · 30/06/2024 20:04

OK well I will leave it at saying - those won't be the last representatives of Reform who say racist things.

TinklySnail · 30/06/2024 20:08

Hatfullofwillow · 30/06/2024 19:59

Yep. It was in 1994, Powell died in 1998. Powell declined to endorse them.

Really? I can only see a Guardian article which fails to provide any evidence.
I wonder if you can link them?

TinklySnail · 30/06/2024 20:11

ACarefulTraveller · 30/06/2024 20:07

So you can’t provide any evidence and are still adamant that all reform voters are racist? Despite evidence that Reform has booted out the racists?

notgettinganyyounger · 30/06/2024 20:11

Anyway we only have a few days and then we will all see how the country votes. I'll be voting Reform. I don't believe I am either thick or a racist. But hey ho

Hatfullofwillow · 30/06/2024 20:12

BionicBadger · 30/06/2024 19:53

You need to have a word with David Tennant @ACarefulTraveller. Naughty David showing us all what labour really think of women of colour in power.

Give over, he gave his views about Kemi Badenoch, who herself described Hester saying Diane Abbot made him "want to hate all black women" and "she should be shot" as "trivial"

She hates identity politics so presumably she'd be appalled by your claim if she was being consistent.

Really? The anti semticism/racism of Labour is not as obvious as the racism of Reform so that's OK. Are you for real?

I think she was more appalled by his public proclamation that she should not exist tbh

whyamisotiredallthetime · 30/06/2024 15:07

I walked past them yesterday in my town centre

" He said hello madam ( 🙄 ) are you voting Reform ? "

I replied " No , I don't think so "

His reply was " well surely anyone with an IQ over 1 will be voting reform "

I said " well you're charming aren't you " he turned his back

Sanctimonious prick

Ha, ha! And we should believe that because?

BionicBadger · 30/06/2024 20:15

But good to know that you’re alright with that @Hatfullofwillow

ACarefulTraveller · 30/06/2024 20:16

Maybe it's not as obvious in Labour...because it's not there.

Unlike the clear examples of racism from Reform as recently as this week.

I will stop responding now, and get off here for the evening as it's probably not healthy to drag this out any longer.

BionicBadger · 30/06/2024 20:17

You keep saying you’ll stop responding @ACarefulTraveller…. Hard though when you are trying to defend the indefensible.

3 that have been ousted. So no longer Reform because Reform are not a racist party.

Lovepeaceunderstanding · 30/06/2024 20:22

TheShellBeach · 30/06/2024 16:03

That seems likely.

The absolute arrogance of you two! I know many people who are very likely much more intelligent than most, potentially more so than you two who are voting Reform. I and many others are absolutely sick of of the smugness of those who consider their opinions unquestionable. It’s time you realised how tiny your little bubble is and how small minded you really are.

I too am bowing out now but would just like to reiterate where I started from. We live in a democracy, thank God, and are free to to vote for whichever party floats our boat, for whatever reason, so can you not just respect that without labelling people as thick or racist because their views don't align with yours? It's that simple

Autocorrect is a bastard!
