I really hope so

CassandraProphesying · 22/05/2024 16:25

Good

HelplessSoul · 22/05/2024 16:26

Doesnt matter who wins - all politicians are cunts.

allthelittleangelsriseupriseup · 22/05/2024 16:27

Exactly 6 weeks, so soonest it can be.

Westfacing · 22/05/2024 16:27

Bring it on!

BlackEyesLikeADollsEyes · 22/05/2024 16:32

Oh yeah - if this is right, I'll be taking the next day off work so I can stay up all night watching the downfall.

If there is no downfall, I'll be using the next day to cheer myself up.

Topseyt123 · 22/05/2024 16:34

I hope you're right. It's looking like they are preparing to make some sort of an announcement anyway.

Bring it on!

Mia85 · 22/05/2024 16:36

Surely Sunak can't think he'll win an election in 6 weeks time? Maybe he just wants to end the pain.

BlackEyesLikeADollsEyes · 22/05/2024 16:37

The BBC are putting up the 4th as breaking headline on their live coverage - but commentators are still saying 'potentially, maybe etc'.

But the Beeb don't tend to put things like that up on screen unless they know it to be fact.

HoneyButterPopcorn · 22/05/2024 16:37

Looks like Labour will be in. I’m dreading what they will do for women’s rights.

Standingupstandingout · 22/05/2024 16:37

How do you arrange a postal vote. I think I'll be away.

It's not like the Tories care about rights for woman, men or child.

Papyrophile · 22/05/2024 16:38

The Telegraph website is also mentioning July 4, so it's looking fairly nailed on.

Do tell what the Conservative and Unionist Party have done over the past 14 years please.

the80sweregreat · 22/05/2024 16:43

Anyone but conservatives.

Because the Tories care about Women's rights?

Anyway as much as I don't like Starmer I'll still vote Labour.

CaveMum · 22/05/2024 16:46

4th July is the earliest it can be - Parliament can't be dissolved instantly, there are a variety of Bills currently going through that need to be finished, so likely they will get a week to finish up what they can and then countdown starts.

Looking forward to the The Rest is Politics Emergency Pod!

CaveMum · 22/05/2024 16:48

PM expected out at 5pm, subject to weather in which case it will happen inside the briefing room.

They need a gazebo.

YouwouldthinkIhavemoresense · 22/05/2024 16:51

Fuck a duck.

British politics is a sham.

They’re all fucking shit the lot of them.

Or a big burly bloke with a brolly, stony-faced as the rain drips off his nose while he shelters the PM 😂
