Good luck to everyone's DC - and to the parents. Might go for a run while DD is sitting geography.

Icouldbeknitting · 03/06/2018 19:38

Here it's all packed into ten days, split over three calendar weeks. Two exams next week, one the week after and then two in one day to finish.

PandaG · 03/06/2018 19:59

@MsAwesomeDragon exactly the same for DS this week, and DD has 4 GCSE exams too. Hope everyone gets a decent sleep tonight!

I'm also studying, meant to be writing my last assignment of this academic year which is due tomorrow. I'm just having a 10 min break then back to it...

PandaG · 03/06/2018 20:15

He has just done last year's paper and got an A* so here's hoping he does the same tomorrow!

UrsulaPandress · 03/06/2018 20:43

I've damaged my back falling off the edge of DD's bed. Unable to do the horse so DH had to help which always leads to much angst so we are not the intended haven of calm I had anticipated.

I have taken to my bed. With wine.

chocolateworshipper · 03/06/2018 20:47

Oh no Ursula Sad Big (but gentle) hugs to you

Nettleskeins · 03/06/2018 21:10

haven of calm [snorts]

it has got worse, ds is now insisting that I find him a Shakespearean acting course for summer.

ds2 tried to tell me about Tsar Nicolas

dd asked me to hoover her bedroom - I refused. She has bought three new hoodies from car boot sale with a friend this very morning - too much stuff in her room aaargh

oh no Ursula can you find a physio tomorrow just to check you over? twisted backs can be agony. Sure horse will bond with your husband once they are alone together.

Nettleskeins · 03/06/2018 21:16

A* Panda amazing! good luck with assignment
Downey I have a horror of my children being kept waiting for the loo, I remember watching ds2 hopping up and down at a sportsday aged about 7 from across the racetrack and being unable to grab him from the school side and rescue him! I went to see a play called The Weir when I was pregnant and remember being furious with the playwright for not scheduling in an interval; how arrogant of him to think dramatic unit was more important than a loo break!!!

Good luck to all the other mums worrying on their children's behalfs, and I'm sure they are more in charge of their own destinies than we can hope for.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 03/06/2018 21:26

oh no Ursula, I hope it eases quickly. :(

dd is going to have a bit of a lie in tomorrow I think, so no cooked breakfast, but I've made her a special lunch. We had a nice walk this evening.

Next week it's 4 then the week after 5 then two at the end.

starfleet · 03/06/2018 22:13

Ouch Ursula! Hope it eases and you're up and about.

Just sent DS to bed. I will get up early to make him a decent breakfast.

doistayordoigo · 03/06/2018 22:57

DS has 4 this week, 3 the next, 4 the week after and a final 2 on the 25th. Mostly he's been revising Maths FP2, despite the first exam being Chemistry, his degree subject. He insists he knows what he's doing, so I am trying not to stress too much.

Hope your back isn't too bad Ursula

HesMyLobster · 03/06/2018 23:44

Oh ouch Ursula! Sounds painful, but wine and bed sound like the perfect cure.

Good Luck to all with exams tomorrow - here we go . . ! 🍀🍀🍀

PandaG · 04/06/2018 04:11

Thanks nettle...just submitted with 8 hours to spare. Better than the last one, I got no sleep at all!!

Downeyhouse · 04/06/2018 05:03

Take care Ursula.

6.00 am and ds is up early doing last minute revision for his first exam today.

Good luck to everyone for this week roll on Friday night when there is a 2 day reprieve.

UrsulaPandress · 04/06/2018 06:18

Well today's the day.

Good luck everyone.

Back much better after a night's rest thanks.

Icouldbeknitting · 04/06/2018 06:41

Glad to hear you're better than you were Ursula

OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/06/2018 06:53

Good luck exam people!

Hardwickwhite · 04/06/2018 07:24

Good luck to those starting today!

LoniceraJaponica · 04/06/2018 07:28

13 exams for some Shock
Are they taking 4 A levels?
DD was doing 4 subjects up to AS level, and was virtually on her knees by the time she had finished. I am so glad that she dropped a subject.

PandaG · 04/06/2018 08:09

All the best for everyone today, and for any younger sibs doing GCSEs.
Glad your back is improving @ursula
@Lonicera - yes my DS is doing 4, including maths and further maths, and physics, so there is quite a lot of overlap.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/06/2018 09:34

dd has 16 exams, but that's because she is doing extra Maths and STEP.

OP posts:
starfleet · 04/06/2018 09:38

DS has 12 exams. One of his friends has either 20 or 22 papers, he is doing 5 A Levels.

Glad your back is better Ursula.

Hope all goes well for those DC's starting today.

littledrummergirl · 04/06/2018 10:03

Sorry I'm late- I wasn't on the register so can't possibly be in trouble. Grin
Ds1 has his first exam today- physics, he went into school early to socialise revise as we are currently having the kitchen ripped out and ceiling replaced so slightly noisy! Fortunately they aren't doing the dining room yet.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/06/2018 10:11

Oh no Drummer! We forgot you Shock sorry!
Good luck to your ds today. Kitchen works at the same time. You must need a lot of Gin

LoniceraJaponica · 04/06/2018 10:28

5 A levels Shock
Why?
Even Oxbridge aren't interested in that many.
