It seems i'm the first. So this is me...

I'm 26 and have 3 girls aged 5, nearly 4 and nearly 1.

DH is in the navy and we are currently living on a married patch in redruth, cornwall. Though not for much longer. Due to the serious mining issues on the estate we are having to look for SSAFA (private rented in Redruth.

DH works on the Merlin's (helicopters) at culdrose and is an LAET.

Anybody else out there?

TiggernPooh2 · 18/06/2007 14:53

hello ladies,

Have the army got a new contract with costa coffee, one has just opened on our camp, at cheaper prices too, I am very happy. Uses to have to drive to local town to get a proper coffee fix!!

How is it for little ones in Cyprus? to those who are out there, as we could be off there in Sept and a bit concerned about the heat, Ds is 20 mths.

luciemule · 18/06/2007 15:03

Camp we're going to has costa's too so perhaps they have (that's wattisham, suffolk). I don't actually drink coffee.....never mind, I'm sure their cakes are yummy!!!

TiggernPooh2 · 18/06/2007 15:20

Hi luciemule,

I think they have yummy blended ice fruity things too. Oh and nice muffins!!

Not that I spend all my time in there you understand!!!

Marmite · 18/06/2007 16:52

Yes I'm in Cyprus (used to be called Mcdreamy for those of you that know me). It's very hot but the children love the lifestyle here. My 2 are 4 and nearly 2. Where are you going to be?

Shoshable · 18/06/2007 18:02

sorry had to do a school run, yes Marmite you are right the white helmets are the motorbike display team.

TiggernPooh2 · 18/06/2007 21:47

Hi Marmite,

Glad to here its good for the kids. Not sure dh due posting in Sept and put preference for 2x uk postings and cyprus but not sure where. He has just been promoted and the 2x uk postings don't look very likely now.

Hopefully we will find out soon as I don't do waiting!! Bad personality trait for an amry wife I know!!! Only been married 6 years, you think I would have got used to it by now.

jcscot · 19/06/2007 08:35

Husband in the Army, currently posted in Scotland (at the APC) and living in our own house. (We had eight quarters in 7 years and we'd had enough of magnolia!) We have on child, a boy, who's nine months old.

FCH · 19/06/2007 11:52

Hello.

DH is Navy (yet another pusser) and so am I - can I still join?

MamaD · 19/06/2007 11:55

I'm in the Midlands. Have been in the Army for 16 years and married to it as well for 3! Have one dd who is 2 yrs old.

Looking forward to speaking to other mums who may understand some of my more unusual predicaments! (Never a good thing for dd to slap the Brigadier across the head!)

MissPitstop · 19/06/2007 15:08

Hi Ive only just found this thread so thought I'd join in (if thats ok with you all) DH is in REME we are in Northern Ireland at the moment but move to Dishforth in just over a week. Are any of you there or been there? I don't know anyone over there at the moment but will only be 1 1/2 away from my family etc so really looking forward to it. I will be 37+ weeks pregnant with DS3 when we arrive so need to know where the nearest hospital, M+T group etc are and any other valuable stuff you can pass on would be great.

mylastrolo · 19/06/2007 16:39

Goodluck MissPitsstop with the move could have helped you with info on N.I. but I'm in buckinghamshire but originally from Ireland.

Sure someone must know the area.

mylastrolo · 19/06/2007 16:41

mammaD probably did him the world of good . You'll just be sat miles away from him in future.
