It seems i'm the first. So this is me...

I'm 26 and have 3 girls aged 5, nearly 4 and nearly 1.

DH is in the navy and we are currently living on a married patch in redruth, cornwall. Though not for much longer. Due to the serious mining issues on the estate we are having to look for SSAFA (private rented in Redruth.

DH works on the Merlin's (helicopters) at culdrose and is an LAET.

Anybody else out there?

hI TJACKSONPFC, I'm in Perham Down. What's Bulford itself like? I'm trying to get DS into the Haig nursery but there are just no places. He's with a Childminder now..it's okay but the hours are inflexible.

thebumcleaner · 17/08/2007 23:56

Hi there, another Army wife here. Dh is stationed at Wattisham, Suffolk. Looks like he has to do a tour somewhere warm and sandy next year, but alot of the lads are out there at the moment from here providing helicopter support.

Nesty · 29/08/2007 12:11

DH is army and we're about to move again in the summer. I can't wait to get back into MQs again (never thought I'd say that !!!).

lktoday5 · 02/06/2011 09:07

Hello all, DP (DH in 2 1/2 weeks) is Army and we'll be moving into our first MQ's in the SE in a few weeks ...oh, and I'm 18 weeks pregnant with our first DD

TalcAndTurnips · 02/06/2011 10:46

Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage, lktoday5 - you must be getting pretty excited at this stage!

My DH is a ancient fart of the naval persuasion. We live in a naval city Grin , have been married seemingly for ever and have grown up children.

I love coming on here - it's a little escapist world, which is odd as I have absolutely nothing to escape from. I enjoy cricket, music, reading, history, shite TV and nude jelly-wrestling.

chinateacup · 02/06/2011 14:10

DH is in the army, I'm an ex civil servant rehabilitated within the private sector. We have never lived in MQ but boy I sometimes wish we had! Currently in SE as previous posting was Wiltshire but moving SW-wards at the start of Aug pending sale/ rental of our house (who wouldn't want to do that at 35 wks pg and a 2/5 yr old? Biscuit)

I am generally a happy soul and font of useless information, good at listening and sometimes even manage to give good advice.

chinateacup · 02/06/2011 14:10

2.5 yo that is

jcscot · 02/06/2011 19:25

Still based in our own home in Scotland, although husband (of the green variety) is now based in London until later in the year, when he sods off to Afghanistan again.

We have three children (two boys - 4.5 and 2.5 and a girl 9mths). I'm a SAHM.

MrsMatelot · 03/06/2011 08:00

Ex-Navy now unemployed (on unpaid leave) civil-servant married to the Navy with a teenage boy away at school. Living near a Naval city in the south!

hf128219 · 03/06/2011 09:55

DH Army. Live in the SE. About to move into our own home again! I am a Cvil Servant with a 3 year old dd.

MrsSnaplegs · 03/06/2011 10:02

Mrs Matelot - ooh another one close to me! You didn't go to a "bring your own" garden party for the royal wedding in one of you neighbours back garden/ communal space did you?

MrsMatelot · 03/06/2011 19:02

Mrs Snaplegs

We're over the hill...and did have a BYO BBQ in the communal space.

MrsSnaplegs · 04/06/2011 08:40

Aah suspect you are on a different patch! We are VERY close to the sea not over the hill!

mlrmummy1 · 17/06/2011 13:39

Hi.
Never knew this board existed!
Im a SAHM to DD1 who is 5 and at school, and DD2 who just turned 2.
Hubby is in the army and currently at MOD in London.
We have our own house and when necessary and depending on the posting, hubby lives away Monday to Thursday. At the mo, we are lucky enough to have him living at home as London is an easy commute.
