It seems i'm the first. So this is me...

I'm 26 and have 3 girls aged 5, nearly 4 and nearly 1.

DH is in the navy and we are currently living on a married patch in redruth, cornwall. Though not for much longer. Due to the serious mining issues on the estate we are having to look for SSAFA (private rented in Redruth.

DH works on the Merlin's (helicopters) at culdrose and is an LAET.

Anybody else out there?

Can't believe it the've given us our own topic at last !
Hi all, married to DH in the army have a dd 4.3 and live in Tidworth. Wilts.
My DH is in Iraq, has been for 6 weeks now, only 20 weeks to go with exception of R&R. Feel sorry enough for myself let alone those of you who are without their dh's for over 6 months thats really tough. It's so nice to have people to talk to going through the same thing isn't it? Friends and family are great but they don't really understand how hard it is.
This is the second Iraq tour my Dh has been on since I've had DD and I have to say its been hard. The last one he went on 2 lads didn't come home and it was horrendous, just keeping thinking back to that time

Hello My best friend is in Tidworth at the moment and her husband has just gone to Iraq. Probably know them!!

moonmum · 23/06/2007 22:03

McDreamy · 23/06/2007 22:04

hi moommum, how is everyone tonight - I really should go to bed but mumsnet is soooooo addictive - it's past midnight and I'm so tired!!

onefootinthegravy · 23/06/2007 22:05

How does your friend find Tidworth jc? I have to say there's not an awful lot here!
hi moonmum!

jocoxy · 23/06/2007 22:08

Hello One foot in the gravy!!

Well shes now there in the house on her own as one kid at boarding school and the other off in Wales doing outward bounds course so for first time in years its just her the dog cat and 2 fish!! She works in the cafe near the builiding site near camp. The Surnames Smith and her Husbands Pete.

onefootinthegravy · 23/06/2007 22:12

Oh I know the cafe! I'm not sure I know I know you friend though, does she like Tidworth. I've been here 2 years and I have to say I find it a bit depressing! Although I'm lucky because my family and friend are all in Gloucester so its only 58 miles and one hour away so I'm there every weekend !

jocoxy · 23/06/2007 22:14

She quite likes it. I love the house shes got! Cant remember what road but there the ones with like a triangle roof and big front windows. It is in the middle of nowhere but not too bad if you drive!!

jocoxy · 23/06/2007 22:18

Night all!! Didn't realise it was nearly half ten!! Off to school Fete tomorrow to win some tins that no one else wants and to eat some homemade cake!! Oooh the excitement!! Speak to you all soon!!!

onefootinthegravy · 23/06/2007 22:18

If its one of the houses with 5 windows at the front then its the same as mine. Is her road pedestrianised outside the front?

jocoxy · 23/06/2007 22:21

Well shes on a cul-de-sac. Oh cant remember the bloody name. Its as you come off the main camp road its the first turning off to the right then round a U to the cul-de-sac. Been there 3 times and cant remember the name!! Got brain drain tonight!!

Katiekin · 23/06/2007 22:24
