just browsed the album two there already! I don't think I can compete with them! I could just stick my finger in no. 2, the photograph is so good, looks good enough to eat right now!
No 1 is very healthy. My puds are never healthy.
Puddings is a great comp - much better than boring old flat bread!

MrsFish · 04/07/2007 21:35

Yummy yummy, number two looks divine

Can we enter more than once? not saying I will though

Tigi · 04/07/2007 21:45

i did two last time. I did the cat dinner too!
will make it more fun for the judge.

F&Z, just to clarify, o Mon night I was all up for pushing forward on bread, but after 2 hours of WI meeting nothing had been decided. Then Tigi and Tweedy ambushed me at the end and pudding it was.

Now monday night is commitee night, and it's democracy in action, and the majority wanted puddings.

So if you want bread...then come and shout BREAD loudly, several times and I would imagine you'll get want you want

MrsFish · 05/07/2007 08:29

Lets do bread next week

Slubberdegullion · 05/07/2007 08:34

Aha you can say that now MrsFish, but if there is a little rabble on monday (or sunday post judging) that wants to do rice or turnip entrees then you'll be shouted down. Mark my words.

OP posts:
MrsFish · 05/07/2007 08:35

Well we will have to shout louder then

Bread can be exciting, it doesn't just have to be a loaf, you can do all sorts

Slubberdegullion · 05/07/2007 08:38

Have to go out now. While dd's at creche will be sitting on the floor in Waterstones looking at how to photograph a pudding in a comely manner.

btw Peachy your day yesterday sounds horrendous. Hope today is better and your interesting tart gets made (I'm still sniggering at Tarte au poivre btw...but I had to look it up...memories from GSCE French not so great)

RL VSC comp week saturday. Will do puddings this week and then will have to be completely refocusing on the perfect sponge. I will volunteer to judge bread next week (if that is what we choose) .

Saw some good puddings in various pudding cook books this morning (for the past few weeks I have been visiting my little square of floor in the cookery section of waterstones on a thurday morning. It's very relaxing in there you know, and people give you a wide berth if you are on the floor.

It seems like the ultimate photos need something oozing out of them....I have some ideas but nothing final decided upon yet .

if i were going to enter this it would be nigella raspberry bakewell tart, it looks fantastically impressive and is delicious. sadly it takes a whole packet of butter and we are on a diet, ds is only two and cannot be expected to eat whole thing.

Slubberdegullion · 05/07/2007 18:50

Have you taken a piccie, fishie? If not do so now pre consumption by ds. We are doing anonymous entries so now you've told us we will know who you are .

Why not make another (slimming) pudding as well to couteract the not so figure concious one. You can enter that one in secret.

Tigi · 05/07/2007 20:46

SlightlyMadSalmon · 05/07/2007 21:14

Slubs would be expecially interested!!!

UCM · 05/07/2007 21:16

I am interested in this

Tigi · 05/07/2007 22:34

That is so topical for MNWI- it may influence the judge!

FrannyandZooey · 06/07/2007 08:31

still sulking

can't make pudding this weekend, we don't need one and I am too busy to be making stuff we don't need

bah humbug

purplemonkeysomethingsomething · 06/07/2007 08:53

aww franny. the judge would look kindly on any entry and is quite fond of chocolate. (see my post: Wed 04-Jul-07 09:04:13)

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining in with you all, the lovely Mrs Fish recommended this thread to me.

I am just discovering cooking and have been cooking from scratch for a while now. Have exhausted all of my 'usuals' and now need some inspiration.

Bought a food processor 2 days ago and cut myslef badly on it yesterday so feel more like a 'real' cook now.
