I cannot this weekend as i must leave my kitchen (and my DH and DC) and spend the entire weekend living it up with my girlie friends. Oh woe woe woe is me

Will check in on Sunday night for the judging.

Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 14:00

Chippy you could photo a pudding from your girlie weekend (I assume you will be eating at some point)...just make sure it is staged in an amusing or erotic fashion (will add to the general funness factor). However I think it should be a 'show' pudding rather than competitive. This is an amateur contest after all.

Slubbers - here is a porno pudding shot from my hen weekend

here

Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 14:08

My word MrsFish! Not exactly suble that .
I had images of puddings a la M&S adverts with recently shagged woman doing the voice over. However in the true MN spirit of anything goes if you wish to shape your pudding into something resembling genitalia then I'm sure that is absolutely fine too.

OP posts:
Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 14:08

subtle that should be.

OP posts:
MrsFish · 04/07/2007 14:18

My pudding will be the more M&S route

Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 14:23

Bright idea here...to jazz up the pictures why don't we all add a wanton caption (M&S styleee) at the top?

Sure beats

'My Apple Crumble with Birds Custard'

hmmmm...rules...

i'm thinking 3 categories again.

  1. serious entries
I love puddings/desserts/sweets so you better make me droool!

  2. comedy entries
    does this need explaining??

  3. children's entries
get those kiddies in the kitchen!

maybe there could be another category for delicious but still not wholey bad for you? i could use a few ideas to slim down my post cake competition waistline!!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 04/07/2007 14:26

VERY good idea slub!

also if you'd like to include the recipe that would be appreciated as well! (though no docking of points if you don't!)

Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 14:34

Yes PM, probably should add the recipeas well, as we keep putting the village show into the Recipes section...and then don't seem to talk about ingredients very much.

MrsTweedy · 04/07/2007 14:42

Maybe add the recipes after the judging when the anonymity ends?

Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 14:49

Recipes on here?...didn't SMS have some trouble writing too many words in the picture rail comments box!

Lapin, hello !

I am quite sure that my previously (BC) alert and intelligent brain has now shrivelled to a mere husk. That and Tigi playing sillybuggers with my mind last night. And staying up on here past my bed time.

I don't know what your last post means. Please help me to understand what you are saying.

Tigi · 04/07/2007 15:07

need to see cooking pics too.

Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 15:12

I think I am understanding you lapin....so we are doing anonymous piccies with anonymous new names and leaving our recipes on here under secret identity?

I have a degree you know......look look I'm on a health thread too atm, I AM NOT STUPid

OP posts:
MrsTweedy · 04/07/2007 15:17

I can't do cooking pics as I made mine last week for the parents' social & only snapped the finished product....anyway you can tell it's home-made if that's a sneaky way of ascertaining whether you've taken cod's advice & bought one!

Slubberdegullion · 04/07/2007 15:21

Twwedy so that's why you pushed for a pudding comp....because you had one you'd made earlier.

Sheeesh the cheek of it!

Peachy · 04/07/2007 15:47

Have to back out of this one sorry- away this weekend (my birthday ), and whilst I could enter the home made iver cream I make, it would be a cheat as I used it in my afternoon tea LOL

So my tarte au poivre shall sit in the recipe book until next time (actually am wanting to goive those choccy souffles gordon ramsay did yesterday- yummmmm)

Peachy · 04/07/2007 15:48

(BTW anyone whio enters a tarte aux poivres gets amrked down for stupidity LOL)

BorisofWales · 04/07/2007 15:50

Ignore Cod you lot, I've strangely enjoyed these threads and your efforts are to be applauded.
