DH was brilliant about it, we had a good laugh eventually, his opinion was that no amount of swearing/arguing/placing blame would alter the outcome so whats the point

Again, brilliant story, I can see why you are so chuffed

What a lovely DH you must have. Mine would have been muttering under his breath for several weeks.

ah bless Slubs, am sat here giggling away (trying to muffle the guffaws so dh doesn't think i am laughing to myself - can be a sign of madness...). That is just fantastic. Did you get her autograph, and also one for your frinds? Do you think she will have a sneaky peek on here?? God knows what she will think of my prunes pics ?
(worrying emoticon).

Oh Mrs fish, what are you like!!!!
We have just come back from 2 weeks in St Ives, andit was glorious, on the beach every day!! (not wanting to rub salt in your wounds or anything though - sorry!) But look on the bright side, will be even sunnier next week! We are all really tanned!
We went down in 3.15 hours, but back in 9, as had to detour to london to drop older ds off to scouts jamboree!! (We live in the Midlands) left at 5am, there at 8.15am, was a doddle. dh not impressed about traffic on way back. Kept trying to cheer him by throwing choc eclairs in his mouth, but even that didn't lighten his mood..Kept muttering 'I bloody well knew it would be like this in London'.
ds home on Sunday, post jamboree.

Glad you had a good time Tigi.

We are in Derbyshire, took 8 hours there, 5 hours back, with an hours stop. We are going to leave earlier this week, 6.30ish start, hopefully miss the worst of the traffic then. We are staying in the next town to Newquay, when we arrived last saturday it was torrential rain and was so grey it looked like a january day, hoping it will be better next week

Hi all, I'm back

Tigi · 22/08/2007 21:47

Hello Mrs Fish - just spotted you at the bottom of the pile of recipes threads. Did you get the right date this time?

MrsFish · 23/08/2007 20:53

Yes had a great time and the weather was mostly great

Tigi · 23/08/2007 21:52

There always seems to be a pocket of sunshine down there even when miserable every where else! When are you due?

MrsFish · 23/08/2007 22:15

30th September, hopefully earlier, I've had enough now

I laughed so much at Mrs Fish - my dh would have divorced me! I told him the story, but he just looked at me oddly as it was about someone I hadn't met - he doesn't 'get' mumsnet at all!
