SlightlyMadSalmon · 09/07/2007 20:50

I was possible entrant (the DP baker). He made an aple and blackberry pie....we argued about it....and as a result there was no opportunity to photograph it before it was eaten.....it wouldn't have won anyway. Wouldn't have beaten the entries that were here.

I wanted to make Black Forest Gateau but DP doesn't eat choc so there is o point unless we have visitors.

FrannyandZooey · 09/07/2007 20:51

OOh, congrats everyone. I was album 10 - HOLD ON a minute - how have I come second in the children's category when it was my own creation this week? LOL was my banoffee pie so cack handed that it was presumed to be work of a child?

I'm disapoined that that isn't your bedroom. i thought it was lovely. i was very envious! Mine has ironing in it to put away at the mo!

SlightlyMadSalmon · 09/07/2007 20:52

F&Z you made the point that you had a lot of childrens help...

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 20:52

PMSL F&Z.

ha ha ha.

It looked bloody nice though

OP posts:
SlightlyMadSalmon · 09/07/2007 20:53

Same here Tigi....I was going to photograph my bedroom but I didn't think it looked romantic enough

MrsFish · 09/07/2007 20:53

F&Z - I think the problem was this...

An adult entry which benefited from extensive help from small person, thus adding to its rugged yet charming presentation.

Tigi · 09/07/2007 20:53

ps, it was also me who asked if MNWI was a sect [chortle emoticon}. Slubs was quick to deny!

Daemara · 09/07/2007 20:54

slubber- thank you.. i'm not actually that bad though, only had one small piece of it, made it for dh as keylime pie is his fav and never did cheese cake before... the fourth of july cake was lemon and lime though as thats what needed using up

Tigi · 09/07/2007 20:54

So, did you like my artistically placed can of prunes??

FrannyandZooey · 09/07/2007 20:54

LOL yes I see now

have told dp I am runner up in a children's competition

he is snorting into the washing up
