I have trouyble with my nerves and can only eat certain colour foods on certain days. My husband is getting fed up of this but I can't help myself. I want to show him I can cook decent meals even while sticking to the proper colour for the day. So what can I give him that goes with sweetcorn and smash, as today is a yellow day?

Kelly1978 · 13/03/2007 20:48

ooh that's good ledodgy!

zippitippitoes · 13/03/2007 20:48

if you don't like green or blue or black i thinkyou should try therapy to find outnwhy

It sounds like you don't like food

ledodgy · 13/03/2007 20:49

Oh dear did you actually eat that Blue Stilton or did you do something else with it like try to treat a medical condition of your fanjo which then caused it to smell like fish................?

Is that why you don't like fish?

Grin
zippitippitoes · 13/03/2007 20:49

what about mint ice cream with green gace fruits

Hassled · 13/03/2007 20:51

Possibly there was an attack by killer fish in early childhood. Polly may have been eating multicoloured foodstuff at the time and blamed that for the vicious fish assault.

zippitippitoes · 13/03/2007 20:53

I'm trying to distract myself from the car crash of masterchef

Hassled · 13/03/2007 20:55

But it could all be a red herring of course

detoxdiva · 13/03/2007 20:56

At least it's not a green herring

zippitippitoes · 13/03/2007 20:59

I think if you had this problem and liked food it would be so much less of an issue..perhaps that is the way to tackle it start to take a real interest in food rather than se it as a chore

elclose · 13/03/2007 21:29

when you wake up what factors make it that colour for that day?

Kelly1978 · 14/03/2007 08:08

so, what colour is it today pollychrome?

ledodgy · 14/03/2007 08:41

My fave MN thread so far

hollyandalice · 14/03/2007 11:41

Is it just normal colours? Red, blue, green etc.? Or do you have ultramarine, turquoise and fuchsia days?

quanglewangle · 14/03/2007 12:00

Do you ever have colourless days? And have to think of transparent food?
Just a thought.

pinkranger · 14/03/2007 12:07

absolute brilliance

chopchopbusybusy · 14/03/2007 12:19

I imagine hosting a midnight feast would be out of the question then. Or would you just do half the feast one colour and half the other?

Greensleeves · 14/03/2007 23:18

Sorry folks, this isn't me. I've had the shittest of shit days and am In No Mood For Jokes.

Very funny though, I wish I had thought of it.

Could it be Twiglett?

mylittlestar · 15/03/2007 10:06

Any idea who this is yet?

Greeny - hope you have a better day today

FrannyandZooey · 15/03/2007 13:52

It may or may not have been me

I would have owned up sooner but Zippi you were being so wonderfully KIND as usual and made me feel quite ashamed

I hope no-one is upset or offended
