I have trouyble with my nerves and can only eat certain colour foods on certain days. My husband is getting fed up of this but I can't help myself. I want to show him I can cook decent meals even while sticking to the proper colour for the day. So what can I give him that goes with sweetcorn and smash, as today is a yellow day?

Are you Sophie Calle or Paul Auster?

zippitippitoes · 13/03/2007 20:09

red dinner for the boss alternative suggestions

fresh tomato soup with gently roasted cherry tomatoes and a swirl of chilli oil

steak tartare with sweet red pepper jam and red arborio rice with aduki beans blended with smoked jalapeno

red fruits fool with raspberry coulis flavoured with kirsch

lots of red wine

Here's something that is sure to cheer you up Polly. If you mix smash with a little water into a dough you can roll it our on a pizza tray and cook in the oven then you could put mozzerella or cheddar on if Mozzerella isn't yellow enough for you then you could put your sweetcorn on top or if you're feeling dangerous some pineapple and you have a marvellous yellow pizza a winner for adults and children alike.

Ledodgy do you have yellow days as well? Because you seem to know an awful lot about it.

tescos will do fine

what does the boss/dh do?

ledodgy · 13/03/2007 20:15

Do you co'ordinate your underwear with your colours too? Pardon me if that question is too personal.

pollychrome · 13/03/2007 20:20

I have heard about people on the internet who ask about what you are wearing. If you will excuse me I wont answer that thankyou.

pollychrome · 13/03/2007 20:23

I DONT CARE ABOUT MY CLOTHES OR WHAT COLOUR MY WEE IS

oh sorry for capitals, but you are painting me as some sort of oddball who is obsessed with this or something.

OP posts:
ledodgy · 13/03/2007 20:24

Sorry i didn't mean to offend but i'd say you are a little obsessive.

lilybubble · 13/03/2007 20:24

loving this

pollychrome · 13/03/2007 20:25

Well yes obviously I know it is not normal but I mean trying to colour co-ordinate your wee I mean that is just going too far.

Why do you all keep talking about green and greeny

I bet I am going to have a green day tomorrow now and they are my least favourite

BizzyDint · 13/03/2007 20:30

s'cuse me but i'm just trying to get my head round this..all new to me. what do you do about your drinks? or is it only food that is affected by the colour of the day? i mean there are thankfully all sorts of juices you could have or do you stick to water as that's obviously colourless?

and would you recommend this as good weaning method by the way? i'm all for anything new and different me. colour led weaning..i'm liking it already.
