Anyone used a nutribullet?

Cutting out a loooong backstory, I've been advised a product like a nutribullet would be beneficial to a health condition my daughter and I share. These are apparently the best on the market but at about £100 are eyewateringly expensive for me to budget for. i dont know anyone personally who has used one, so I'm hoping some of you might be able to recommend(or not as the case may be)

Sometimes deals come up. I bought one for £85 in John Lewis. On Black Friday, they were around for £69! (I was gutted!).

I do like it but DH and dc don't, the annoying buggers!

Dp bought me one in the summer and I use it almost every day. It is particularly helpful for dd2 who has chronic constipation and won't eat raw, crunchy fruit or veg, due to sensory issues.

There are loads of smoothie recipes online too. Ready made ones are quite expensive, so long term you would be saving money.

Quirky that's really helpful and actually an element of why I'm considering purchasing. I will watch and wait for a sale then!

Love, love, love mine. Use it every day without fail. It's so easy to use and to clean. I havea green juice every morning:

Spinach
Kale/ romaine
Cucumber
Fennel
Celery
Apple and/or pear
Fresh ginger
Lemon juice
Spoonful of munchy seeds
Spoon of spirulina powder
Water to the line
I pour it over ice and drink!! Makes me feel so healthy and I very rarely get colds etc...

Well I can't believe it, they are on offer at argos for £79.99 so I've reserved one!

Best way to clean is to put washing up liquid and water in after use and blast, then rinse. Always use frozen bananas-sooo nice! My ds also loves banana smoothie with tiny dot of vanilla essence. Great sweet alternative.

I use mine to make bullet-proof coffee (black coffee with coconut oil and butter). Froths it up like a latte!

Well I bit the bullet and bought one!

A few questions; some of the suggested recipes say to put in unpeeled oranges, others don't mention the skin; what do you find works best?

Do you need to mill seeds before they go in the extractor blade? The guidance book doesn't suggest so, but in wondering why have a mill blade if the extractor is ok to use on them?

Finally, have you tried using frozen fruit/veg? Not sure if this is ok or not (aside from frozen bananas which I guess don't freeze solid anyway)

I have one and it's great. But apparently you need to be careful that you don't eat too much sugar via fruit intake, I've read a few people say they've ended up putting on weight!
A good tip is to freeze coconut water into ice cubes so you can make them nice and cold and don't end up waisting open cartons as it's quite expensive.

Glad you got one! I have just been showing ours off to my brother. I use spinach, as it blends really easily and doesn't taste much. I don't really put seeds in but eat them with it or put linseeds etc. into stuff dd2 has. I often put koko coconut milk or almond milk in so it's creamy but not dairy, yy to frozen berries and spiralina powder. I also sometimes put in whey isolate to make it more of a meal (for me).

I quit sugar has some lovely smoothie recipes.
Also I do a chocolate berry shake:
frozen black forest berries,
spinach or spiralina powder
koko coconut milk
whey protein (optional)
cocoa powder/raw cacao powder

Blend, tastes like chocolate ice-cream!

I often do a veg-based one for me as not keen on too much fruit and loathe bananas. Another far is spinach, green apple, ginger and koko milk.

I found some of the recipes need building up to, the ones with the citrus fruit complete with skin are in that camp for me.

The more you use it the better you become at knowing what works.

I use lots of frozen fruit.

My favourite one it carrot, Apple, ginger, watermelon and Orange. Great for lunch.

I also buy big watermelons and chop them up and freeze in nutribullet portions. Same with pineapple and mangoes.

What's the difference between a nutri bullet and a normal blender?

The difference with the nutribullet is that it blends everything, there is no waste so you get the fibre etc
