I've made a couple recently that I want to show off to people... We could all go 'ooooh' at each other's efforts!

Apple cinnamon cake - served with extra thick jersey cream. Wonderful.

Love the pretty cakes but I'm all about the taste because I'm not artistic in anyway!.

I love the everyday bake photos- I am all about the taste too although an partial to French patisserie and macarons

That apple cinnamon cake is right up my street. I'm not keen on biting through thick fondant icing so although the artistic flair is amazing, I wouldn't eat the icing.

Love them Annie! Can I ask what you used for the deep purple fondant on the last cake? I need something similar and have bought purple food paste as I couldn't find this shade ready made.

Ive been inspired by this thread to buy a cake tin and the ingredients for chocolate guiness cake. It will be the second cake ive ever made wish me luck! If it becomes a cake i might even dare post a pic. Everyones cakes look ace!

Thank you badvoc - it was a toffee apple cake. Sponge cake with applechunks and brown sugar sprinkled on top before baking, then sandwiched together with fresh whipped cream that had tiny chopped up pieces of 'finger of fudge' folded into it. It was very light and moist due to the apple! I sprinkled it with icing sugar for a bit of interest!

Everyones cakes look amazing! The arty ones look so clever and they all look so delicious!
And so many offers of people wanting to come live with me or be my slave!
