My DS wanted a captain America cake. Wrong shaped stars as I don't have the right cookie cutter but hopefully he won't notice!

NCd for that as my cakes will out me. I am only learning and don't like sugar icing (or whatever it's called), so my cakes are simple.
First one is chocolate orange cake with mascarpone cream filling, rolled chocolate icing and fresh berries. Made it for my son's 11th on 8/03.
Second is a Russian honey cake (medovik) with my first ever buttercream roses. Made for my mum's birthday last Sunday.

I really should post less identifying stuff online, but I doubt anyone I know irl uses both MN and Instagram/Facebook 😄 Latest cake.

Pink cake was as pretty as I could make it for my daughter's 17th birthday. Sponge with butter cream on top with fresh cream and raspberries inside

The other cake is a half eaten watermelon themed cake. It was red velvet with buttercream and chocolate chips. Yum.

Ok my cake isn't as polished as the creations here, but I tried very hard triple layer choc cake drip cake with cookie crumb & vanilla buttercream, choc ganache and well cookies lol.

The choc drip cakes look so easy on Pinterest but it's bloody hard to make the drips look neat

I think it's a great idea I would love to see the cakes!
