I don't plan a specific meal for each day unless there's a particular reason to (guests, busy evening, etc); I just write a list of meals for the week and decide which one I'm doing on the day/day before.

This week will involve:
home made pizzas
Cajun salmon
jacket potatoes
rack of lamb
tuna bake
Quorn meatballs & spaghetti

  • all with veg, and rice/couscous/potatoes etc if needed

Please share your plan ......

We have had

Sun: Roast chicken, yorkshires, potatoes, green beans, carrots.

Mon: Stir fry with egg fried rice.

Tues: Harissa prawns with couscous and green beans.

For the rest of the week we have planned:

Wed: Spag bol

Thurs: Chicken pie or stew, depends if dcs stop fighting long enough to throw things into a pot or if they let me make pastry too. Will involve chicken thighs and leeks and that will empty the veg drawer.

Fri: Curry. Variety undecided, will depend on what dh brings home from Lidl.

Sat: Pizza night!

I am doing the shopping at the moment and I have decided to go for the Sainsburys 5 family meals for £20 thingy. It's not very varied but I could do with a cheapish week and I have no imagination today!
