What films would you consider teen classics of the 80s and 90s and want to share with your teen?

Dd is 15. i’m 48. We like watching films together — both her choices and mine. Of my list, that I enjoyed as a teen, we have watched:
Dirty Dancing
10 things I hate about you
Robin Hood Prince of thieves
Batman returns (with Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer)
Clueless
Legally Blonde
The Breakfast Club
Beetlejuice
Heathers
Back to the future

I’m sure there are more… but what would you add to this list?

I watched Clueless with DS about a year ago, he was 17. He was absolutely fascinated by the fashion, the baggy jeans etc, as they had come in again.

Re.fashions coming in and out - being born in the early 70s, I grew up watching a lot of films from the 60s and 70s and it has been fascinating over the years seeing the fashions go in and out. The fashions of the late 60s and early 70s - flared trousers, hippy clothes etc. looked far more dated in the 80s than they did in the 90s, for example, when there was a revival of that sort of boho look.

Currently the fashions of the late 90s and Y2K are looking less dated as your DS has astutely observed! My husband always teases me for saying 'Y2K' when I'm in my 50s, he thinks I am trying to be 'down with the kids' 😂
